We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Erica Roberg Williams a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Erica Roberg, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

Knowing that I can make a change if I not happy. I am not afraid of change. I always say life is like a big tree, you need good roots but you never really know which way the branch will go. You need to modify, adapt and overcome. Enjoy and embrace the journey that the tree limes take you.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

As both a personal fitness trainer and a real estate agent, I am committed to supporting individuals in significant areas of their lives, such as physical well-being and home ownership. My passion is centered on helping my clients achieve their personal objectives, whether that involves enhancing their fitness levels or finding or selling their home. It is important to me that my clients know it is not about me, but rather what I can do to facilitate them in acquiring the skills necessary to reach their end goal. There is no one answer that fits everyone; you need to take the time to figure out what works for you. It is immensely rewarding to be part of this journey and witness the transformation of a happy, healthy person and the purchase of a beautiful new home or saying goodbye to a home of memories for a new journey.
New Service:
I have a degree in Kinesiology and Gerontology, and I find it so rewarding to help client decide where and how they are going to live in the next chapter in their lives. Here in North County San Diego, we have so many beautiful communities to live and stay active and healthy and enjoy the next chapter and I’m there to help find the one that fits each clients wants and desire.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Optimistic: Always know you can get to the other side, take a deep breath and sometimes sleep on it and you can figure out how to achieve your goal.

2. Professional: Stay true to who you are, strong morals and ethics and communication. Think before you speak and be kind but firm.

3. Motivational: Have some fun and encourage with joy and laughter. Educating someone the process and their trusting you will help motive them to feel confident about making the right decision for them.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

Even though I grow up with divorced alcoholic parents, my mother always said, “it will work out”… and it mostly did. What I learned was with a positive attitude and if you want something bad enough, you can make it happen. The glass is always half full, it is all on how you perceive it.
