Meet Erika Lin

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Erika Lin. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Erika below.

Hi Erika, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I have always liked acts of good faith and that is what architecture represents for me, giving you the opportunity to interpret the emotions of others, listen to them, organize their requests and with a lot of creativity and positive energy transform them into spaces that help them have a better life. I am convinced that being an Architect is my purpose.

As I grew as a professional and businesswoman, I discovered the magic of training successful professionals and integrating them into work teams. Seeing the development of people and companies has become another of my purposes in life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
In the group there are various specialty creative firms, but they are all based on the principles of Impeccability, from the formation of our work teams, their integration and training, the work process is a methodology that is in continuous improvement but based on firm structures and of course the client’s experience, that we not only help them develop their project impeccably, that we also generate a great experience in the process.

Architecture is a great profession, it asks everything of you, your focus, your emotions, your energy, but the results are so impressive, you live them, you travel through them, you see living beings taking shelter in it.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Determining the function of spaces has always been my favorite part as an Architect. As an architect, you show your portfolio and it generally attracts the aesthetics of the buildings, the visual part. Without a doubt, Architecture is a very beautiful art, but behind that there is hours and hours of deep conversations with your clients where you listen to their needs, their desires and purposes, there is too much intimacy in those conversations and the magic happens when the creative energy and the strategy that you generate with their needs merge.

That is not very different from directing a creative group, you meet the collaborators, interview them and align their life plan with that of your organization, this way you ensure that their time in the company gives them great value as people and professionals and their talent. merged with your structure they help your company grow.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
Aligning my purpose and my energy has been a work of years, alongside therapies, business coaches and mentors, just as I thank and value my clients who trust my experience and knowledge, I greatly value what external people can bring me as a person, I use This philosophy for my company, I align the purpose of my companies is something I do together with my board of directors for the approach and advisory board to help define strategies.
