Meet Erika Omaña

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Erika Omaña. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Erika below.

Hi Erika, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I used to think success meant following a structured path—climbing the corporate ladder, excelling in operations, and managing responsibilities with precision. For years, I thrived in commercial property management, but deep down, something felt misaligned. I was stressed, overwhelmed, and seeking for something more—a career that felt meaningful, a life that felt lighter.

While still working in my corporate job, I started as a professional organizer, helping people create order in their homes and lives. But as I continued, I realized that what truly excited me wasn’t just organizing physical spaces—it was curating experiences that made people feel elevated, inspired, and connected. Through my experiences and the lifestyle I was exposed to, I saw the impact that elevated experiences could have, and I knew everyone deserved access to them. That’s when I made the decision to shift from organizing spaces to organizing experiences.

With the guidance of a business coach and therapist, I found the courage to take the leap and leave my corporate job. I didn’t have every detail figured out, but I knew I wanted to use my operations background to create seamless, intentional, and transformational wellness events. That’s exactly what I do today—helping brands, businesses, and communities bring their vision to life through thoughtfully curated wellness experiences.

Now, I organize wellness events that help people reconnect with themselves, and I create content that inspires intentional living and personal growth. Through it all, my Latina identity and passion for creating meaningful connections remain at the heart of everything I do.

Finding my purpose wasn’t about having all the answers from the start—it was about listening to my intuition, being willing to pivot, and trusting that my passions could create real impact. Now, I wake up every day doing what I love—curating elevated experiences that bring peace, joy, and transformation to others.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m Erika Omaña– Founder of Calm Curations, Event Director & Content Creator, and my passion lies in curating transformative wellness experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways. My work is all about intentionality, seamless execution, and creating spaces where people can connect, reflect, and grow.

As an event director, I specialize in helping brands, businesses, and wellness practitioners bring their visions to life through thoughtfully curated events. Whether it’s a wellness retreat, an intimate workshop, or a large-scale community gathering, my role is to ensure that every detail is aligned with the purpose of the experience—so that guests feel immersed, engaged, and truly present. I love designing intentional spaces that encourage connection and transformation, while also handling the logistics behind the scenes to make events feel effortless and seamless.

At the heart of my work is my commitment to elevating experiences for Latinas and BIPOC women, because we all deserve spaces that make us feel seen, valued, and celebrated. One of the most exciting projects I’m currently working on is Amigas in Wellness, a monthly gathering dedicated to self-care, community, and personal growth. These events are incredibly special because they create a space for women to support, uplift, and empower one another—something I hold close to my heart as a proud Latina and professional. Seeing women come together, build genuine connections, and leave feeling inspired and recharged is one of the most fulfilling parts of what I do.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding my event offerings, collaborating with aligned brands, and continuing to create experiences that are both intentional and impactful. If you’re looking to host a wellness event or create a seamless, engaging experience for your community, I’d love to help bring your vision to life!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three key qualities have shaped my journey: adaptability, operations & organization, and community-building. Adaptability allowed me to embrace change and pivot from the corporate world to event direction, trusting that each step would bring me closer to clarity. Operations & organization have been invaluable—my background in logistics and planning has helped me create seamless, intentional experiences where every detail is aligned with the bigger vision. Lastly, community & relationship-building have been at the heart of everything I do. The success of my events comes from the genuine connections I’ve cultivated with my audience, collaborators, and aligned brands. My advice for anyone starting out? Stay open to growth, build strong systems that support your work, and surround yourself with a community that inspires and uplifts you.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely! I’m always looking to collaborate with wellness brands, businesses, and practitioners who align with my mission of curating intentional, transformative experiences. Whether you offer wellness products, services, or experiences, I’d love to explore ways to co-create events that inspire connection, healing, and personal growth.

I’m particularly interested in partnering with brands, venues, speakers, and sponsors who want to be part of elevated wellness gatherings that bring people together in meaningful ways. If you’re passionate about fostering well-being, mindfulness, and community through in-person experiences, I’d love to connect.
