Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Erin Cary. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Erin, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding my purpose was a journey that started with a personal realization. In my previous career as an engineer, I was making a lot of money but didn’t feel happy. This made me question the idea that having a lot of money equals happiness. I realized that true fulfillment comes from having a healthy mindset about money and making sure your finances match your values and life goals.
My purpose is to help you understand this and guide you to a better relationship with money. It’s not about a specific number that brings happiness, but how you use your resources to live a life that matches your deepest values and passions. This purpose drives me to spread the message that financial health is about creating a fulfilling life, not just getting rich.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Erin Cary, a wealth advisor helping people with big financial challenges. What excites me most about my work is the way we help our clients. We’ve created a unique method to help you understand your values and set your goals, which brings more passion and purpose to your financial journey. This isn’t just about managing money; it’s about using money as a tool to live a more fulfilling and aligned life.
One special thing about our service is the creative financial strategies we use, especially for tax savings and long-term planning. We don’t just look at the numbers; we look at the whole picture of your life and dreams. By combining different financial strategies—like investments, debt reduction, and estate planning—we help you build a strong financial future that supports your ideal life. We are about helping you start living your ideal life now, not just waiting for retirement.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three key qualities helped me the most. First, hiring support and learning how to delegate changed everything. Trusting others to handle tasks allowed me to focus on my strengths. For those starting out, my advice is to find out what you’re best at and get help with the rest. This makes you more productive and creates a team environment.
Second, the power of connections is huge. Building deep relationships with mentors, clients, colleagues, and friends has helped my success grow faster and farther than I could have done alone. For those early in their journey, I recommend networking and finding mentors. Having a support system of people who understand your goals can give you great advice and open new opportunities.
Lastly, attention to detail is crucial. Being careful and thorough shows you care and prepares you for growth. When your basics are solid, you don’t have to keep fixing problems from being careless. My advice is to be detailed in all parts of your business. This saves you time and resources later and sets a high standard for your brand.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is a successful business owner, often a woman, who knows she needs a supportive team to reach her goals. If you’re handling many responsibilities and see the value in making smart financial decisions that match your long-term dreams and values, you are my ideal client. You want a strategic partner to help with complex financial issues and to make sure your financial plans fit your life goals.
I also connect well with engineers because of my background in engineering. I understand how you think and can communicate well with you. I find your work interesting and keep up with tech advancements, which helps me give good financial advice. I also enjoy working on stock option strategies and tax planning because they are fun puzzles for me to solve.
You will appreciate working together if you want your values come first. You want to make informed decisions and seek a well-rounded approach to financial planning that goes beyond just the usual advice.
