Meet Erin Pacitti

We recently connected with Erin Pacitti and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Erin, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?

As a 31-year-old female entrepreneur, I’m regularly in rooms where I am the youngest business owner, the only woman, or both. It can be very intimidating to network with people in completely different demographic groups. In the past, I’ve been swayed to change my mind, adjust strategies, or speak less in these types of intimidating spaces. But over the years, I’ve learned that my gut instinct is my greatest strength.

I have learned to speak up and stand confident in my business plan and values, even if they don’t align with the expectations of those around me. My best business decisions, from renting an in-person office to hiring the people working with me now, have come from listening to my gut and taking risks. There are times when it makes sense to source outside opinions, but as an entrepreneur, it’s important to figure out when to welcome feedback and when you need to trust yourself. Make a plan before you attend networking and industry events, and prepare thoughtful responses that help you respectfully maintain your boundaries. “That’s a good thought!” or “I’ll take that idea into consideration” work well for me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m the founder of Boundless Marketing Co. (formerly Paralian Marketing). We recently went through a major rebrand, hired some incredible new team members, and moved into an office space. These updates have brought me a renewed sense of purpose, passion, and inspiration.

We’re also excited to expand the industries we serve to include real estate. We have brought on several key affiliate partners, built out social media management and lead generation packages, and are planning a webinar series. Follow us at @boundlessmarketing.co on Instagram to keep up with all of the exciting things we have planned!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

As a collegiate athlete, I’m no stranger to hard work. From day one, I have been prepared to commit whatever amount of time and energy is necessary to make my business successful. A really strong work ethic and intrinsic motivation are essential if you’d like to launch your own business. Sometimes I don’t want to go to my third networking event of the week, but I know building strong relationships will set a solid foundation for Boundless Marketing Co.

Second, I’m a strong conversationalist. Networking is a skill that can be improved, and in my opinion, the best way to do so is to get out there and talk to strangers. I set quantifiable goals for myself; for example, if I’m meeting with a new group, I aim to talk to three people I don’t know.

Third, I’m confident in my key messaging. I’ve spent time refining my elevator pitch and talking about my value propositions. These come up frequently at networking events, so it’s important to feel proud of the way you represent your brand. Write them down, tweak them, and practice them in front of the mirror before you walk into any room.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

As Boundless Marketing Co. expands to support the real estate industry, we are eager to grow our client base in that field. We’re excited about working with top producers looking to improve their credibility, generate more and better leads, and become thought leaders in their field. Through a blend of social media management, advertising, organic PR, CRM management, and email marketing, we are confident in our ability to bring realtors, lenders, and beyond to the next level.
