Meet Eripitan Osagie-Sule, MBA

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Eripitan Osagie-Sule, MBA. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Eripitan below.

Eripitan, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
I was blessed to move up in my career rather quickly, but that did not come without challenges. Whether I looked far too young or like I didn’t belong, I had to learn how to be successful in professional environments. Although, at times, I may be the only one who looks like me, I have embraced the isolation through self-confidence, building relationships, and staying true to myself. When we think of self-confidence, it’s not always about how you perceive your physical attributes but also about being confident in your capabilities and ability to provide a unique perspective. Simply because you may not look like others should not be why you hold yourself back. I took my time to build connections and network to develop meaningful relationships with colleagues, friends, mentors, and strangers. Having a solid support system from individuals who challenge my way of thinking for growth has been invaluable to where I am today. Lastly, staying true to myself means upholding my values and demonstrating resilience and professionalism when others may not. Although I know I do not look like everyone else in these rooms, conferences, and meetings, I will ensure that you know who I am by the end of the occasion, whether through a warm smile or a cheerful conversation. With these attributes, I have been able to thrive in any room and take up space at any table, regardless of who is around me.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Eripitan Osagie-Sule (pronounced Air-Repeat-Ten Oh-Saggy-Sue-Lay). I am the owner and founder of Light On A Hill Marketing Agency. My agency is dedicated to crafting unique social media experiences that help brands grow their organic social media presence on popular platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Although there are various social media platforms out there, I always encourage my clients to let me assist them in focusing on platforms that help their brand achieve its full potential.

My mission is to help businesses achieve their goals by providing high-quality marketing services. I am committed to being a guiding light in the field of social media marketing by assisting companies to find their way and succeed in the digital landscape. Currently, my agency focuses on the following services: consultations, audits, strategy, and day-to-day management, but we are open to assisting you in anything not mentioned. Investing time and energy into anything can be challenging for a business owner. Still, as a professional, I offer various services to meet their needs. Whether they need to pick my brain or an influencer marketing strategy to take them through their next fiscal year, my agency can handle that.

Regarding expansions, I want to bring on a few more contractors to assist my clients with their pain points. These positions will include a graphic designer, copywriter, photographer, account manager, and more. I’m hopeful and excited about the potential growth of the agency.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most impactful qualities on my journey were passion, adaptability, and the ability never to stop learning. Instead of chasing the money or what will make you happy for only 3 to 6 months, truly understand what makes you passionate about that particular topic or industry. Remember that the journey will sometimes be straight and with resistance. Some days, life will throw you for a curve, and you must be resilient enough to know you want to keep going because the fire inside is far greater than the distractions in front of you.

Additionally, being adaptable in a constantly evolving world is a requirement. You’ll be left behind if you can’t learn something new or embrace a different idea. You don’t have to change your beliefs or values, but knowing what others think and believe does serve you well. We should all embrace the mentality that growth is always good. Lastly, people sometimes need to remember you need to keep learning once school is over. When you’re early in your journey, you’ll spend much time researching, fact-checking, and learning more because you’re new. It’s what you’re expected to do. Still, some of the best leaders I’ve ever seen are the ones who are continuously doing their best to learn, improve, and develop their areas of weakness. As an individual, you must be open to learning, finding resources, and refining your skills.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is a brand that needs help utilizing social media for their business. They may have some followers but are seeking guidance on how to grow their audience or engagement. They are likely overwhelmed by the various social media platforms (and their changes) and need help determining the most suitable for their goals. They might even acknowledge the importance of social media but need more time or expertise to manage it effectively. They want an expert’s opinion and a clear roadmap to improve their strategy. Ultimately, my ideal client recognizes the value of social media and marketing but needs direction, expertise, and hands-on support to optimize their digital presence and achieve their goals.
