Meet Esra Aslan

We recently connected with Esra Aslan and have shared our conversation below.

Esra, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

As a Kurdish woman, resilience is an inherent part of your identity from birth. Growing up in Sweden as a Middle Eastern woman further shapes this resilience, positioning you as an underdog in a different yet equally challenging context. These dual experiences forge a unique strength within you, one that compels you to work harder, seek solutions, and overcome obstacles with determination and grace. Early on, you learn not just to navigate the complexities of your environment, but to excel within them, harnessing your resilience to achieve your goals and inspire those around you.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

’m Esra, the heart and founder of (be) Fragil, deeply inspired by the resilient women in my lineage. Raised in Sweden as a third-generation agricultural woman, I inherited a passion for the land and the art of cold-pressing botanicals from my grandmother Elif and mother Esma. Their legacy forms the soul of (be) Fragil, imbuing our products with care and craftsmanship.

My mother’s battle with Fibromyalgia led us back to the healing landscapes of Ayvalik, Turkey, where she rediscovered her strength. Witnessing her journey sparked my own passion to honor the feminine essence of self-care through nature.

Fourteen years ago, I found my anchor on California’s shores, where the Pacific waves, canyons, and Mojave desert shaped who I am today. At (be) Fragil, we celebrate self-care as a sacred feminine ritual, encouraging women to reconnect with their nurturing nature through our holistic skincare and wellness products.
My mission is simple: to create a sanctuary for the feminine soul and reinforce the bond between women and the earth. Because when the feminine heals, we all heal.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Nothing in the world can replace persistence. Talent, genius, and education alone won’t cut it—many people have those. Only persistence and determination truly make the difference. This is my recipe: as a woman of faith, I’ve learned to take action every day to the best of my abilities and then surrender the outcome to God. Being okay with whatever happens becomes easier when you know you’ve done everything you could.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Fragil Skin is more than a brand that simply offers nurturing products; it’s a movement dedicated to celebrating and nurturing the feminine spirit. Our products are designed to be vessels that embody the essence of feminine traits, reminding you that your inherent qualities and way of being are more than enough.

We are building a vibrant, ever-growing community where mutual support, creativity, and healing are at the heart of everything we do. I firmly believe that together, we are stronger, and that we can achieve so much more when we come together.

I warmly welcome women who are passionate about supporting, creating, and nurturing each other in every possible way. My community is a powerful network, and I am just a phone call away from every skill, talent, and collaborator. Let’s grow this beautiful journey together.
