Meet Ethan Jones

We were lucky to catch up with Ethan Jones recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ethan, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I’ve been working since the age of 16, my parents were very good about me getting a job during high school and learning how to make a living, which teaches you resilience, patience, and respect for your peers.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I work as an Actor, Editor, and Producer in Los Angeles, CA. I’ve been doing both professionally for about 12 years now. I recently completed a feature film called Dr. Quarantine (2025), starring Tara Reid, in which I was the editor, colorist, and co-producer, and played 3 different acting roles. I also completed a shot film called Nadine (2025), which I was the editor, co-producer, and acted in. Overall working in entertainment is great fun, I enjoy collaborating with good people and artists who are at the top of their craft.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I think the biggest thing is having the attitude that you’re always learning, growing, and getting better each day of the journey. When I was starting out, I wasn’t nearly as good as an editor or actor as I am today, I had to get a lot of good feedback from people far more experienced than I was in order to grow and learn. I think talent is the ability to adapt and grow constantly.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

They taught me value of working extremely hard each day. Pursuing a filmmaking career is no small feat, but having that background of having to work at a young age instilled a lot of grit and determination in me.
