Meet Eunequa Strozier

We were lucky to catch up with Eunequa Strozier recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Eunequa, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

My generosity comes from within. I’m an empath and a healer. My mission is to help other humans in need and show them their inner strength. I give to others without myself in mind because I genuinely want to see others improve and grow in their life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am a professional makeup artist and Licensed Esthetician with over three years of experience working with clients from various backgrounds. Currently, I provide makeup application services and private makeup courses. It’s exciting to see the looks I imagined in my mind come to life. I also love it when I reveal the look I created to my client, and it instantly makes her feel confident inside and out. In the future, I plan to provide one more service and even have a product line. I’m taking it one day at a time, but I look forward to what the future holds for my creative endeavors and business.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Resilience, education, and consistency. If I could give someone who wanted to start their journey as an Esthetician, or any field, I would tell them to never stop educating themselves. Early in your journey, you will want to give up because you may feel as if you are not as skilled as other professionals you may know. If you want to become better at anything, you must stay resilient and consistent. There will be times when you may want to give up, but you must develop your resilience, and remind yourself of your “why” or your purpose for starting your business or endeavor. You must be consistent also, or you will never improve on anything. It will be hard to develop if you continue to start and stop. Also, without trying to constantly educate yourself, your journey will be hard because no one will hold your hand and give you the information, you must go out into the world and get this information yourself if you want to improve on anything (skills, art, makeup). To develop these qualities, you have to be mindful of why you started your journey, and what are your goals. You will also have to determine how you will feel if you do not reach your goals. In conclusion, you will have to want the desire to reach your goals more than anything else.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Realizing my worth as a human being. I treat others with respect and kindness, and I will not settle for anything less.
