Meet Eva Cleaning

We were lucky to catch up with Eva Cleaning recently and have shared our conversation below.

Eva, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

Having a strong sense of self-sufficiency and independence, often learned from experiences like growing up in a single-mom household, can be a great asset for aspiring and current solopreneurs. You develop an inner drive to make things happen, resourceful mindset and a willingness to overcome obstacles.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My genuine love for keeping spaces clean and tidy is clearly the foundation of my success, with closing out calendars and booking six months to a year in advance. This passion shines through and resonates with my clients. The kind and considerate treatment I’ve received from clients highlights the importance of fostering positive relationships. My business thrives on this mutual respect and appreciation. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is a critical strategy for the cleaning industry. Maintaining a humble and grateful perspective, even after achieving success, is a testament to my character and strengthens the bond with my clientele.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Passion fuels the work with love and enthusiasm, translating into continuous improvement and innovation to solve problems and deliver high value to customers. It fosters perseverance through obstacles, transforming setbacks into learning opportunities rather than roadblocks. Determination provides the persistence needed to keep going, even on the hardest days, and prevents giving up when faced with obstacles or doubts. Cultivating respect in the workplace fosters a healthy and productive environment, increasing collaboration and encouraging idea-sharing. In essence, these attributes work synergistically to build a thriving business. Passion provides the initial spark and sustained energy, determination ensures you don’t give up when the going gets tough, and respect cultivates a healthy environment that attracts and retains talent.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

Many successful entrepreneurs credit resilience and a strong connection to their initial vision as crucial for navigating difficult times. It’s a reminder that every obstacle overcome strengthens resolve and builds character, contributing to long-term success. By remembering these guiding principles and the positive impact you’re creating, you are well-equipped to face and overcome whatever challenges come your way.
