Meet Eva Gerapetritis

We recently connected with Eva Gerapetritis and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Eva, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I absolutely get my work ethic from my father! Being an immigrant from Greece, he started working in the kitchens of several restaurants, barely speaking English – and now owns a successful Construction Company!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Make Me Up is a freelance bridal makeup company. We have a team of several artists that really focus on specializing on what our brides want , vs following trends. What really separates us from others is that we deliver a very specific + customized natural look look based on the brides vision. One of the most exciting parts of my job is creating relationships with our brides. We are part of such a huge day for them! Our friendships last past the wedding, and we often get to see them over other special moments in their lives such as baby showers!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Being outgoing, driven, and detail oriented. The outgoing part of my personality is definitely what helped create the relationships I have with my brides. My drive is what has led us to 500+ weddings a year, as this job is 24/7 and you constantly have to work, network, market etc. Being detail orientated is SUPER important in every job – as people absolutely pay attention tot he small details that make them feel special.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

Our ideal client is someone who is open minded and trusts the process. They hire us because we have the same vibe, but they let us execute our artistry because they have full trust in our creativity!
