We recently connected with Eva Ozon and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Eva, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my parents, who immigrated from Poland to America in 1986. They arrived with very little English and faced countless challenges as they built a new life here. Watching them push through adversity with determination and perseverance has always been my biggest inspiration. Their journey taught me that, no matter how tough things get, you have to keep going and make the best of every opportunity. Seeing what they overcame drives me to give my best in everything I do because I know how much harder things could be.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Eva Ozon, and I bring over 17 years of experience as a creative consultant in the fashion industry, specializing in branding, concept development, and design. My journey began in Poland, continued through the vibrant city of Chicago, and now finds its home in sunny California. My career has been dedicated to bringing brands to life, defining their unique voice and direction, and crafting products that leave a lasting impact. My favorite part of this work is building brands that people love—brands that tell a story, make a difference, and leave a mark
One of my proudest endeavors is Choice Blooms®, a brand I founded in 2008. Initially, it started as a rolling paper company, but my passion for plant-based materials inspired a shift toward scents and lifestyle products that people truly cherish. At the core of Choice Blooms® is a deep belief in the power and elegance of plant-based solutions. Each product we create blends quality with sophistication, delivering an experience that resonates with those who seek a more natural, refined touch in their lives.
We’re particularly excited about what’s next! This fall, we’re expanding our line with new reed diffusers and fresh fragrances, continuing our commitment to crafting items that bring beauty and intention into everyday moments.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three key factors that have been most impactful in my journey are the foundation I built in art school, the wealth of experience I’ve gained over the years, and the discipline to consistently deliver at a high standard.
Attending art school was pivotal for me. It not only developed my technical skills but also instilled the discipline required to meet industry standards. It taught me how to work within structured guidelines while still allowing room for creativity. The discipline and rigor I developed during that time still guide my work today.
Experience has also been a critical teacher. Every project I’ve taken on—whether it was a success or a challenge—taught me valuable lessons. Those real-world experiences honed my ability to problem-solve and gave me the confidence to approach new ventures with a clear strategy. There’s no substitute for learning by doing, and I encourage others to take on as many opportunities as possible to gain that practical knowledge.
Lastly, discipline is key. For anyone starting their journey, it’s crucial to develop a balance between creativity and professionalism. Talent alone isn’t enough; it’s the ability to consistently deliver, meet deadlines, and push through challenges that sets you apart. My advice is to seek out structured training, embrace every experience as a learning opportunity, and stay committed to honing your craft with a disciplined approach. This combination will prepare you not only to succeed but to excel in your creative journey.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was instilling the values of hard work, resilience, and independence from a young age. They encouraged me to pursue my passions and supported me in taking risks, even if it meant stepping outside of the conventional path. Their belief in my ability to carve out my own journey gave me the confidence to follow my creative passions and push through challenges. They also emphasized the importance of discipline and staying committed to my goals, which has been a guiding force throughout my career. Their trust in my vision and constant encouragement to keep learning and evolving have been invaluable in shaping the person and professional I am today.
