Meet Evonne Glenn

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Evonne Glenn. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Evonne, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I found my purpose through a combination of life experiences, faith, and reflection. For years, I went through seasons of hardship and trauma that I didn’t fully understand at the time. Those challenges shaped me in ways I couldn’t see while I was going through them, but over time, I realized they had equipped me to connect deeply with others, especially those who are hurting.

My faith was the turning point. I learned to lean on God, trust His plan, and surrender my life to Him completely. In that process, I discovered that my pain could be transformed into purpose that the very things that broke me could also be the testimony that would help someone else heal.

Serving in ministry, mentoring, and community work confirmed that I was meant to encourage, uplift, and guide others toward hope. My purpose is rooted in helping people see that they are not alone, that their story matters, and that God can bring beauty from even the most broken situations.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am the Event Coordinator for Abundantly Anchored Ministries, a faith-based organization dedicated to uplifting and serving our community through outreach, mentorship, and spiritual development. We began as a virtual Bible study group and have since expanded into feeding the homeless, providing back-to-school resources for families in need, and hosting empowering events for women, youth, and the community at large.

What excites me most about what I do is the transformation I get to witness in people’s lives. It’s one thing to offer a meal, a backpack, or a listening ear—but it’s another to see hope reignited in someone’s eyes. That’s the heartbeat of our work: showing people that they are seen, valued, and loved.

I believe what makes our work special is the personal connection we strive to create with every individual we serve. My own life has been shaped by challenges and trauma, but those experiences have fueled my passion for helping others find healing, strength, and purpose. I don’t just serve from a place of duty—I serve from a place of understanding.

In addition to ministry work, I am an author and speaker, using my testimony to encourage others and remind them that their pain can be transformed into purpose. I am also active in community partnerships, working alongside schools, nonprofits, and local leaders to provide resources and opportunities for growth.

Looking ahead, we have exciting things on the horizon, including expanding our outreach programs, launching new community workshops, and preparing for upcoming ministry events that will bring people together for empowerment, education, and faith-building. Everything we do is grounded in the belief that when you trust God and walk in your calling, there’s no limit to the impact you can make.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, I believe the three qualities that had the most impact on my journey are resilience, compassion, and adaptability.

Resilience taught me to keep going when life threw obstacles my way. There were seasons when it felt like everything was working against me, but pushing through those moments built the strength I needed for the work I do now. My advice: when challenges come, don’t view them as a sign to quit see them as opportunities to grow your endurance.

Compassion allowed me to connect with people on a deeper level. Because I’ve experienced hardships myself, I approach others without judgment. My advice: take the time to truly listen to people’s stories. You can’t lead, serve, or help effectively without first understanding their heart.

Adaptability has been key in navigating change whether it’s shifting an event plan last minute or finding new ways to reach the community. My advice: stay open-minded and be willing to pivot. Growth often happens outside of your comfort zone, so don’t be afraid to try new approaches.

If you can nurture these three areas strength to endure, empathy to connect, and flexibility to adjust you’ll be better equipped to step into your calling and make a lasting impact.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been trusting God on a deeper level while stepping into greater leadership. As an Event Coordinator, I’ve always loved serving and organizing, but this past year has stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. I’ve had to make decisions faster, manage bigger responsibilities, and handle challenges that could have easily overwhelmed me if it weren’t for keeping God first.

I’ve grown in my ability to lead with grace, stay calm under pressure, and see every obstacle as an opportunity for God to show His faithfulness. I’ve also learned the importance of surrounding myself with a strong team, delegating with trust, and pouring into others so that we all grow together.

This growth hasn’t just been professional it’s been personal and spiritual. I’ve learned that true success comes from surrendering my plans to God, staying humble, and remembering that every event, every project, and every interaction is a chance to serve others and bring Him glory.
