Meet Faith Alene

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Faith Alene. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Faith, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

With the Business and Social Media sides of the Music Industry, it’s so important to remind myself what it’s all about. I set apart time about once a week to let myself solely be creative. I get a hot cup of tea close my bedroom door and write whatever song is on my heart. It’s important to have times when I’m not focused on writing a good song, just focused on expressing emotion. Time and time again, my greatest songs come from moments like this. When I write sometimes I find myself overthinking everything. This bridge isn’t catchy or the lyrics are repetitive. Thoughts like that during the writing process stop me from writing good music. It’s always smart to go back after the song is done and refine it but I realized I need to ignore those thoughts while writing. I need to set apart time and give myself permission to not be perfect. In moments like that, the perfect song is found.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a singer/songwriter living in Florida. Last year I recorded and released my first few songs, “Skin & Bones” and “Call Me”. So far in 2025, I have already released “Vagabond” and “Anymore” with “Lonesome Traveler” coming out in June! My songs are a mix of folk and country. I tend to put a strong emphasis on the lyrics in my writing but also enjoy a catchy tune. Right now you can find me performing at farmers markets, restaurants and events in the local community. I cover a wide range of old and new country and folk songs including music by Dolly Parton, Tyler Childers, Noah Kahan, The Lumineers, Joni Mitchell, Taylor Swift, Linda Ronstadt and Carrie Underwood. My favorite part of what I do is Songwriting. Getting to share my life and story through music is an experience like no other. Every lesson I learn and emotion I feel, I can share with those around me through my songs.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Definitely skill, self confidence and drive.
These things might take work but it is truly impossible to succeed without them. First you need to build up your skill. Whatever field you are going into work on that thing until you are competitive with the best. Once you have that skill be confident. If you are the best singer in the world but don’t believe in yourself, how will you succeed? One thing I learned is no one is gonna find you if you don’t first put yourself out there. Lastly drive. It’s so cliché to say “never give up” but it’s sound advice. When nothing is working out re-direct. Effort is never in vain and will always pay off.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

There has been so many ways Jesus has helped me grow in every aspect of my life. All the talent and passion for music comes directly from him. In my personal life he sustains me through ups and downs, giving me a peace that only comes from him. On stage I can have confidence in my performance because of my confidence in him. Whenever I need knowledge or wisdom to aid me on my path to success I find it in his word, the Bible. Talent of any kind is from fostering the gift God had given you. The best way I can put it is God plants the seed but you have to water it and tend to it. Never let the seed die. Put in the work but never forget the reason you have a plant to water is because of Jesus.
