Meet Faith Stanton

We were lucky to catch up with Faith Stanton recently and have shared our conversation below.

Faith , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I’ve gained my confidence and self-esteem from many different parts of my life. They’ve come from the lessons I’ve learned, the support of loved ones, the work I’ve put into improving myself, and most importantly giving myself grace. I think giving yourself grace is essential for building confidence and self-esteem because it reminds you that you don’t have to be perfect, and that’s okay. You are the best version of you simply because there’s no one else like you.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Currently, I am pursuing my dream of acting! I fell in love with it along with my other passions—dancing, singing, and modeling. More recently, I’ve gotten into writing, directing, and producing, and I’ve been expanding my knowledge through short films and marketing brand shoots. I’m really leaning into my artistic side, and I’m excited for the upcoming short projects I’ve been a part of. I love exploring different forms of creativity, and I’m so excited to share more of who I am and to keep developing as an artist.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

In terms of the three qualities that were most impactful to my journey, I would have to say communication, kindness, and open-mindedness. There are many more, of course, but these stand out for several reasons.
First is communication. Communication is essential in everything you do because it allows you not only to express yourself, but also to listen and connect with others in meaningful ways.
Second is kindness. Kindness is incredibly important to me because you never know how far a little kindness can go. It has been central to my journey to be kind to others, spread kindness, and remembering to be kind to myself as well.
Lastly, open-mindedness. There are so many amazing people, experiences, and opportunities in the world, and I believe it is vital to stay open-minded. It allows you to learn about things you may not know yet, to stay curious, and to ask questions.
This leads me to my advice for those on their own journey: Be curious! Stay true to yourself, know that you are enough, and don’t shy away from learning something new along the way.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents ever did for me was support me. They’ve always believed in my dreams, even when I was little and insisted I would be a ballerina, a soccer player, and a painter all at once. They never made me feel like I couldn’t achieve what I wanted, and they always guided me away from self-doubt.
Thank you, Mom and Dad and in case I haven’t said it enough (and I know I haven’t). Thank you for reminding me that I was, am, and will always be enough.
