Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Faith Wright. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Faith , so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
In the realm of YouTube, where vulnerability meets the judgement of strangers, stepping into the limelight can be an intimidating endeavor. For me, launching my tarot business and sharing my insights with the world was both exhilarating and daunting. Overcoming imposter syndrome became an essential part of my journey, as I sought to establish myself as a trusted figure in the tarot community.
I vividly recall the weeks of contemplation before summoning the courage to click the “upload” button for my inaugural tarot video. Admittedly, I was still a novice at the time and found solace in reading from a tarot book during my first live reading. However, I made a deliberate choice to be transparent, to let viewers know that I, too, was on a continuous learning journey. I wanted to convey that seeking guidance is a universal experience, and that authenticity is the cornerstone of my practice.
Authenticity, as I soon discovered, resonates deeply with individuals seeking spiritual guidance. By embracing my own vulnerabilities and openly acknowledging my growth, I fostered a genuine connection with my audience. The trust that blossomed from this connection allowed me to overcome the nagging feeling of being an imposter. It became evident that my value lay not in being an infallible expert, but in sharing my personal experiences and insights to help others navigate their own journeys.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Growing up in somewhat of a small town, you don’t really step outside the norm. For me it was either sports or accounting. Im a girl that loves numbers but it never made my spirit move. I spent years, trying to find that light within me to just do whatever it was that drew me in. The day came and the light that found me was tarot.
As a tarot reader, I dive into a thrilling journey, unraveling the tapestry of past lives and guiding others on their unique paths. Tarot is a kaleidoscope of possibilities, where no two readings are ever alike. Just like the cards themselves, my life as a reader is an ever-changing adventure, and why should it be any different? Navigating the intricate dance of energy and spirituality can be wonderfully wild and unpredictable, but through it all, I remain steadfast in my authenticity. With a dash of laughter and a genuine desire to help others, I am here to illuminate the path and inspire people to embrace their spiritual journey like never before.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Firstly, the absence of fear when it came to trying new things or embracing the possibility of failure played a significant role. Fear can be paralyzing, and it is often where dreams go to fade away. I would advise those starting their journey to recognize that fear is a natural part of growth, but it shouldn’t define or inhibit you. Embrace the unknown, take risks, and remember that the worst outcome is not failure, but the regret of never having tried.
Secondly, I valued the importance of staying true to myself and the truth, even if it meant losing people close to me. Authenticity is a guiding principle in the spiritual realm, and it has been instrumental in establishing trust with my clients. I would encourage others to hold steadfast to their beliefs and values, even in the face of adversity. Surround yourself with individuals who support and uplift you, and don’t be afraid to let go of relationships that no longer align with your journey.
Lastly, my willingness to be open to new experiences and continuously learn has been a game-changer. The spiritual realm is vast and ever-evolving, and staying curious and adaptable is essential. I advise those starting out to approach their journey with an open mind, embracing opportunities for growth and expansion. Seek out mentors, attend workshops, read extensively, and engage with the vibrant community of spiritual seekers. Every experience, whether successful or challenging, is an opportunity to learn and refine your craft.
To those embarking on their own journey, I offer this advice: fear may try to hold you back, but remember that every failure is a stepping stone towards success. Embrace the unknown, take risks, and trust in your abilities. Stay true to yourself, even if it means parting ways with those who don’t align with your path. And above all, remain open to new experiences and never stop learning. Your journey is unique, and by cultivating these qualities, you will navigate the tarot world with authenticity, resilience, and an unwavering thirst for growth.
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was granting me the freedom to explore and try different things. While they may not have always been enthusiastic about all my endeavors, their unwavering support was invaluable in helping me discover my true purpose. Their willingness to stand by me, even when they may not have fully understood or shared my interests, fostered an environment of trust and encouragement.
Moreover, my parents taught me the value of offering understanding without judgment, as they themselves demonstrated this quality towards me countless times. Their ability to empathize and accept my choices, even when they may have seemed unconventional, instilled in me a sense of compassion and open-mindedness. This foundation of non-judgmental understanding has been a guiding principle in my personal and professional life, allowing me to create a safe and empowering space for others on their own journeys.
