Meet Farah George

We were lucky to catch up with Farah George recently and have shared our conversation below.

Farah , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
I have been in the industry for 15 strong years and have seen pretty much every makeup trend that exists. I keep my creativity alive by following trends and recreating them with my own twist to allow my passion come to life with every brush stroke. I brush up on my skills (no pun intended) whether it is by investing time and a lot of money on further education and or by working on all ethnicities to be able to cater to all.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I have been a professional and a freelance makeup artist for 15 years now. I am multi certified through schooling, MAC, and Makeup by Mario and Kim Kardashian. I feel the most excited about booking clients and making them feel beautiful for an entire day and they become regulars afterwards. I am able to work on all ethnic features, and do all types of looks even special fx. You can book me through my socials: instagram: facesbyfarah_ and Snapchat: facesbyfarahg and u promise you will not seek elsewhere for further future bookings.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Going to school and then practicing on different facial features daily through work definitely built up my skills. Competition is huge right now but if this is your dream, reach for the stars and you can do it. After 15 solid years, I still have my regulars and new clients that reach out.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents have done besides staying married for over 30 years, they are both successful engineers and business owners and that is exactly the lane im trying to follow with graduating school and hopefully owning my own beauty bar.
