Meet Faralene Charlemagne

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Faralene Charlemagne. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Faralene below.

Faralene, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I would say I get my resilience from my mother. She’s not afraid of nothing or no one! She goes for whatever she wants and she never ever gives up! A lot of that is instilled in me and is what makes me the woman I am today.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Where do I even start, I am a cereal entrepreneur! Meaning I wanna do everything but understand that I can’t. But I’m still going to try!

I also rather working for my self. That way I can create what I want, hire who I want and not have to be micro managed by anyone especially on a creative project!

I started producing my own fashion shows called The Fara Charles Project in 2014! We were able to produce 10 shows total 3 in Atl, 2 for NYFW and 5 right here in our hometown of Fort Lauderdale Fl! This lead me to working on production sets with celebrities such as Rihanna, Cardi B, The Migos ect and later in 2020 I launched the TFCP Agency for my veteran models!

Now, I currently have a Podcast called The Fara Charles Podcast on YouTube which is doing phenomenal! We just started in April of 2024 and we’re killing it! We’ve already wrapped season one and preparing to debut season 2 January of 2025!

I love love love what I do in every aspect! The ability to create freely is a feeling I can’t describe. Taking ideas from your head and bringing them to life is almost like magic! It’s like a challenge that drives me crazy but in the end I’m always so satisfied and fulfilled with what we’ve done. Teamwork always makes the dream work!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three qualities I’d say helped me on my journey would be: originality, Persistence and never taking anything personal! These 3 qualities allowed me to push through, every-time I wanted to give up I’d just say “there’s NO-ONE like me!” “This industry needs someone like me!” “No one can do what I do!” And honestly there’s probably plenty of ppl that can do what I do but the fact that I don’t dwell on that and only On me getting better, it really helps keep me going. So my advice to anyone trying to be in my industry is: “DON’T WORRY ABOUT WHAT THEIR DOING, FOCUS ON YOU!” And you’ll do great!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

G.O.D.! God has helped me through so many obstacles these past couple years! And boy have I had obstacles! I recently (well not so recent anymore) just got out of a 10 year relationship with my kids father, lost my 2 closest friends, was damn near homeless most of 2023 and on top of everything Iost my grandmother and little cousin in a 3 months span. 2023 was just the worst!! But I had faith in God, relied on him, even got baptised to show him how much I loved and appreciated him for carrying and still being here for me right now. Without God and my pastor I don’t know how I would’ve made it through 2023! So I owe everything to him.
