Meet Fatima Alhexia Boylen

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Fatima Alhexia Boylen a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Fatima Alhexia, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I believe my purpose in life is to be happy and love God! Because God has done great things for me.

I am originally from Amatitlán, Guatemala, a small town on the outskirts of the City with a beautiful lake, delicious organic food, colorful handcraft stands, and smiley, kind people. That vibrant and warm culture is the root of who I am.

Now thriving in Colorado as a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and cultural ambassador, my identity is deeply shaped by my Catholic faith.

God’s presence has guided me through every step of my journey. One unforgettable moment was at the U.S. embassy in Guatemala, filled with anxiety, when I asked God for a clear sign. He literally answer me with a message on a TV ad that said, “You are where God wants you to be.” That answered prayer led me to move to USA and changed my life.

I am deeply family-oriented, and the love we share is a constant source of joy and motivation. I also enjoy learning about and connecting with people from different cultures, and I cherish the richness that diversity brings to life.

My purpose flows from the belief that I’ve been created for greatness, as Pope Benedict just to say. Each day, I aim to live that purpose with joy, integrity, and quiet witness; especially through my work. I let my actions show my faith in the Lord.

Through the Sacraments, daily Mass and prayer, christian music, and living in a way that honors God, I’ve found strength, resilience, and peace. No obstacle can defeat me, because I know I am loved by God and chosen for something greater.

“For I know the plans God has for me…” Jer. 29,11

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I consider myself an ordinary woman who simply wants to make God happy—through the life I live and the way I love.
God is the one who adds the “salt and pepper” to my personal and professional life, and to every achievement I’ve been blessed with.

My journey has grown through faith, family, and service since moving to USA from Guatemala. I’m joyfully married to my wonderful husband, Chris, and proud mother to Maya. Family is everything to me, and I’m committed to supporting our community however I can.

I’m the owner of Boylen Cleaning Services, LLC, a small business proudly serving beautiful Colorado with high-quality commercial, residential, and construction cleaning services. But my work goes beyond cleaning—it’s about integrity, excellence, and love for people.

I also lead Donations to Guatemala, a project close to my heart. We send donations several times a year to individuals and institutions living in extreme poverty in rural areas of Guatemala.

As a community leader and Guatemalan Culture Ambassador, I organize events—both public and private—to celebrate and empower our culture here in Colorado. Whether it’s through service, faith, or cultural connection, I believe in using every opportunity to bring light, joy, and dignity to others.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Faith-Driven Integrity and Resilience
My Catholic faith is the foundation of my character and work ethic. It inspires me to lead with honesty, perseverance, and a compassionate heart, even when facing challenges.

2. Leadership and Business Management
As the owner of Boylen Cleaning Services and leader of community projects, I’ve developed strong skills in team leadership, organization, customer service, and operational management. I am experienced in running a small business with professionalism and care.

3. Cultural Awareness and Community Connection
Growing up in Guatemala and living in the U.S., I deeply value cultural diversity and empathy. I use this understanding to build authentic relationships with clients, support my community, and promote cultural pride through events and outreach.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

Both of my parents taught me the importance of hard work, faith, service to others, the value of education, and the courage to dream big; even beyond what seemed possible.

My mother is truly extraordinary. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly every day while still making time to help relatives and neighbors in need and support our church and community. She modeled what it means to be a woman of deep faith: praying together, trusting God during hard times, and being grateful in the good ones. She is a very talented “Hair Stylist” in Guatemala.

Her example shaped the woman I am today. It gave me the courage to move to the United States, the determination to build my own business, and the conviction to serve others—through Boylen Cleaning Services and the Donations to Guatemala project.

She taught me that no dream is too big when it’s rooted in love, guided by faith, and driven by the desire to do good in the world. That foundation is why I strive every day to live a life that makes God proud; through the way I work, the way I serve, and the way I love.

Today – call your parents and tell them you love them or say a prayer for them.
