Meet Faye Lauren

We were lucky to catch up with Faye Lauren recently and have shared our conversation below.

Faye, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I would say my confidence comes from really loving myself. I like who I am as a person and believe that I am a kind hearted unique person. I radically accept myself fully. I also forgive the old versions of myself that didn’t know till I knew. I wish people would take more time to foster a deep relationship with themselves. It makes for a beautiful journey on your life path.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m primarily a Makeup Artist. I get to meet a lot of interesting people. The teenage me would be shocked at the rooms I’ve worked in.

I am also creating my own tarot card deck right now. It’s a slow project because I am doing everything by hand. I started during the pandemic. It kept my creativity alive!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three most important things I’ve learned that may be helpful to pass on to others-

Watch your mouth. You never know who you’re speaking to or who is in the room listening.

Be helpful but don’t kiss ass. Read the room.

Don’t look at anyone’s lane but yours. We are all on a different path. Do things to impress and compete with yourself only. There is no competition in your own lane.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m new to LA from NYC. It’s only been one year! I’d love to meet more creatives.

I would love to find a writing partner to write a few tv show ideas. This is something I’ve always wanted to do.

I’d also love to work with more actors doing makeup for them. I’m sure the universe will connect me with the right people.
