Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Femi Adebanjo . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Femi , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
Being born in brooklyn & moving to Nigeria from age 2-10 creates resilience. Getting up everyday to fetch water for yur family to bathe creates that. Also leaving home at 17 and never looking back for the last 32 years creates a different kind of resilience. Having the ability to figure it out, no matter what is thrown your way
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a real estate broker. Have been doing this for Almost 22 years. I help buyers buy homes & sellers sell their homes. Whether you are looking for a starter home or to upgrade the one you currently have. You may even be looking for an investment property, I can help you navigate the process. I also buy properties, rehabs them and resell on the open market
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Skills you need for sales is tough skin, the ability to listen to your clients needs and never ever giving up. Advise I would give is study your craft so when you dealing with your clients, you can engage in a meaningful conversation. Also keep in mind most will never see or understand your vision. Keep pushing forward till it comes to fruition
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The alchemist but more importantly rich dad poor dad by robert kiyosaki. It teaches you how the rich look at Mooney and also how the poor look at it from a different perspective. Poor dad teaches you to go to school, get education and a job after. The rich teach you to live life on your own terms. Go be an entrepreneur and create your own lane
