Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Femi Kuye. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Femi, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

The best way to stay confident is to trust yourself and trust God in every situation no matter how bad it gets. For me personally, I have a very confident mother and father and while looking up to them I inherited a lot of there actions in situations where I needed confidence. Surrounding yourself with friends that push you to become the best version of yourself is also key.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I have a cinematographer position as well as a photography and videography business. Also I have a reaction YouTube channel called femitøødrippy. I started out doing fashion content and moved to reaction videos. However I might bring back the fashion content for 2026.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Consistency, Assertiveness, and Competitiveness. To me, being consistent is working on something every single day without depending on progress as motivation. If you can apply that definition to the skill you want to achieve, you will unlock it. Once you have done that, be competitive in your field. If there is someone working towards a similar goal as you, take notes from them and better yourself in areas that they might have over you. Sticking to that routine will eventually make you assertive enough to trust your skills that you’ve honed and apply it to future projects and situations.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

One of my favorite books is the maze runner and it is based on a main character who is dropped in a situation where he is trapped and doesn’t know anyone, He eventually makes friends with people that he meets, finds clues on how to get out and develops leadership skills to guide everyone to follow his lead. Sometimes we might feel trapped or alone but learning how people interact around you and making those connections will develop skills that you will need in any situation.
