We recently connected with Feras Almusa and have shared our conversation below.
Feras, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I built my resilience by being okay with discomfort. Setbacks made me sharper, different cultures taught me to stay flexible, and letting go of ego kept me moving. I put my energy into what I care about — not what others think.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
About Me & My Brand
I love creating products — both physical and digital. Over the years, I’ve founded a clothing line, co-founded a beauty brand, and built a software company that went through a soft exit. Each venture had its ups and downs, but they all taught me something about people, timing, and persistence.
What I’ve realized is that nothing I’ve built started in isolation — every project came from meeting the right person at what looked like the right time. The truth is, there is no “right” time. You have to constantly put yourself out there, meet people, and stay open.
For me, relationships are everything. I always lead with value — helping, connecting, and giving first. Over time, I’ve learned that when you focus on adding value and building genuine connections, opportunities naturally follow. That mindset has been monumental in my professional life, and it continues to shape everything I do today.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Adaptability
Things rarely go as planned. Deals fall through, markets shift, people change. Being adaptable kept me moving forward when others froze.
Advice: Put yourself in uncomfortable situations on purpose. Travel, meet people outside your circle, and take on projects that scare you. That’s how you build real flexibility.
Relationship-Building
Every business I’ve built came through people — never just ideas. Relationships create opportunities that no plan can replace.
Advice: Lead with value. Don’t approach people only when you need something. Help, connect, and give first. It always comes back around.
Resilience
Failures are guaranteed. The difference is whether you treat them as endings or as lessons. Resilience kept me going when logic said stop.
Advice: Don’t try to avoid failure — collect it. Each one makes you sharper. The faster you get back up, the stronger you’ll become.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
I’ve always loved ideas — I generate them constantly. The challenge was that entertaining every thought came at a cost: time, money, and focus. My biggest growth this past year has been learning to discipline that energy and commit to one thing at a time.
Discipline became more than just a work habit — it turned into a lifestyle. It changed how I eat, how I spend my time, who I surround myself with, and how I interact. The biggest improvement wasn’t just choosing focus, but building the habit of sticking with it. That shift in how I view discipline has been transformational.
