Ferggie, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I didn’t exactly choose my purpose, it found me. I attended law school and worked in a court back in my country of origin. I never considered beauty and makeup as a career path, as my focus was on excelling in my studies. After moving to the US, I held various office jobs while pursuing makeup as a hobby. However, I discovered that helping girls feel beautiful and confident was the most fulfilling aspect of my work.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As a beauty professional my focus is to create art with my hands, all of my clients need to look the best in front of the camera especially because all of the pictures, videos, and any content will be shown all over social media in a world where everything needs to be so aesthetic, it becomes a lifestyle. Another big role I play is to make sure that my work will stay all day/night, that applies to the red carpet, bridal, music videos, and photo shoots. I am currently expanding my business so I can provide the services I am passionate about to more clients in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles, in selecting the artists that have the most talent and experience, so even if I’m not available in your city is still working on creating a reliable and glamorous experience.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
In my opinion, focusing on boosting your confidence and practicing self-care should be your top priority. This will bring about miraculous results, as when you feel good about yourself, you attract positivity, including great opportunities and clients. To excel in any field, having passion is crucial. With a burning desire to create and make an impact, nothing can hold you back. Feeling inspired is another vital element that we heavily rely on. As an artist, I’ve experienced times where I lacked inspiration, which made it hard to be productive. Ultimately, your success depends on you, so invest in yourself, and the universe will bring forth the miracles, while everything meant for you will come your way.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
It’s common to feel overwhelmed in the industry, especially when you’re the boss and need motivation and action tools. If you’re not hustling or making progress, you’ll get stuck. Personally, I found it helpful to build a team of passionate individuals who want to grow and create. Having a great support system and people who love what you do helps keep you centered. Also, following your gut and doing what you feel like doing is key. However, I must admit that I feel overwhelmed during important events or work trips. The way to overcome that is to be prepared. Prepare to be the best, give your best, and feel your best. If you work out of love and passion, there’s little chance that something will go wrong because you gave it your all.
