Meet Fernanda Ogazon

We recently connected with Fernanda Ogazon and have shared our conversation below.

Fernanda, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I didn’t find my purpose—it found me. Art has always been my passion, but I discovered early on that I didn’t just want to appreciate it; I wanted to harness its power to transform spaces and lives. My journey began with a deep curiosity about the intersection of art, business, and human experience. It led me through the worlds of fine art, marketing, and strategic leadership, where I saw firsthand how creative vision could drive real impact.

Working in healthcare design solidified my purpose. I realized that art isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about healing, connection, and storytelling. Seeing the tangible effects of art in healthcare spaces—lower stress levels, faster recoveries, a sense of comfort—showed me that I was on the right path.

Along the way, I’ve learned that purpose isn’t a static destination; it’s a dynamic process of growth, adaptation, and passion. I’ve embraced the challenges, the innovations, and the ever-evolving landscape of art in business. Today, as CEO of American Art Resources, my purpose is clear: to lead with creativity, strategy, and vision, ensuring that art continues to transform environments and elevate experiences in ways that truly matter.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

At American Art Resources, we do more than just curate art—we craft environments that heal, inspire, and connect. As CEO, I have the privilege of leading a team that transforms spaces through the power of art, particularly in healthcare settings where the right visual experience can have a profound impact on well-being.

What excites me most about our work is the fusion of creativity and science. Art isn’t just decoration; it’s a tool for healing, a way to reduce stress, and a means of fostering a sense of calm and comfort. We use evidence-based design to ensure that every piece we place serves a greater purpose—whether it’s helping a patient feel more at ease in a hospital room or creating a welcoming atmosphere in a corporate space.

Right now, we’re thrilled about several new initiatives. We’re expanding our collaborations with healthcare providers to integrate digital and interactive art into medical environments, enhancing patient experiences in groundbreaking ways. We’re also working on a series of curated art collections designed specifically for behavioral health spaces, where thoughtful design is more critical than ever.

At the heart of our brand is a belief in the transformative power of art. Whether it’s in a hospital, a corporate office, or a public space, art has the ability to tell a story, evoke emotion, and create meaningful connections. That’s what drives us every day, and we’re excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what art can do.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful in my journey: resilience, adaptability, and strategic creativity.

Resilience has been essential. Any meaningful career comes with challenges, setbacks, and unexpected shifts. There were moments when projects didn’t go as planned or industries changed overnight. But resilience—staying focused on the bigger picture and pushing forward—helped me turn obstacles into opportunities. For those early in their journey, my advice is to embrace challenges as learning experiences. Don’t fear failure; use it as fuel to grow and refine your path.

Adaptability has been crucial, especially in industries that evolve rapidly. Whether it was shifting from traditional galleries to digital experiences, or integrating interactive art into healthcare spaces, embracing change has been key. My advice? Be open to new ideas and technologies. Stay ahead of trends, take calculated risks, and don’t be afraid to pivot when necessary.

Strategic creativity is the balance of artistic vision and business acumen. Understanding the power of art is important, but knowing how to apply it effectively—to create healing environments, build brands, or engage communities—is what makes an impact. For those developing this skill, I recommend gaining a broad knowledge base. Learn not just about your craft, but also about marketing, psychology, and innovation. The more perspectives you have, the more creative solutions you can bring to the table.

No matter where you are in your journey, be resilient, embrace change, and think beyond boundaries. That’s where the magic happens!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
