Meet FirstKings Love

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful FirstKings Love a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

FirstKings, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

For a long time, I thought I had to figure out my purpose on my own. I went through trial after trial, obstacle after obstacle—things that were meant to break me, distract me, and completely take me off course. Each time I thought I had the strength, I realized I was just surviving, not living. Pride had me blinded. I struggled at everything, thinking I could handle it all my way.

It wasn’t until I had a real encounter with God that my life started to shift. That’s when I realized that purpose isn’t something you create for yourself—it’s something you walk into when you let God lead. From that point forward, He’s been taking me from one extreme to the next, placing me exactly where I need to be. If it were up to me, I’d move slow, second-guess, or even talk myself out of the very things He called me to do. But God doesn’t let me settle—He elevates me through Him.

Finding my purpose wasn’t about me finally getting it right, it was about me finally surrendering. And once I did, everything that was meant to destroy me turned into the very fuel God used to build my resilience. My story is proof that when you let God lead, your pain can become your purpose and your purpose can impact others.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be Kingdompreneur. That word reflects exactly who I am—first, a vessel for the Lord, and second, a business owner whose foundation is built on biblical principles. Everything I do—whether through music, ministry, or business—is about advancing the Kingdom of God.

My story is one of resilience. I’ve overcome obstacles that could have destroyed me, but instead they prepared me. I go by the artist name Just.InTime.1Kings, and I’m a Christian hip-hop artist who creates music with themes of faith, hope, and spiritual impact. My mission is simple: to spread love, ignite faith, and inspire listeners worldwide through powerful performances and messages that point people to Christ. Songs like ‘Never Be The Same’ and ‘You’re Everything’ reflect my heart to show people that no matter what they’re facing, God is always the way out.

What excites me most about what I do is that it’s never just about music—it’s ministry. God has been opening all the right doors in this season, and I know there are a lot more events and opportunities coming where I’ll get to minister through music. Each stage, each collaboration, and each testimony I get to share is part of a bigger mission to bring people closer to Him.

On September 5, 2025, we launched R.I.O.T.gear—which stands for Righteous Invasion Of Truth. This brand isn’t just about clothing—it’s a movement. It’s about rising up, being bold in your faith, and letting your walk with Christ be something you wear proudly. The website will continue to be updated with new merchandise every few weeks, keeping it fresh while staying rooted in its Kingdom purpose. I believe it’s going to impact lives beyond fashion.

And I’m especially excited to announce that my upcoming E.P., Nonfiction, is scheduled to hit the airwaves everywhere in November 2025. This project is unlike anything I’ve done before—it’s raw, intimate, and deeply relatable. It’s me narrating the visions God was showing me to capture. When you listen, you’ll be able to hear the growth in my music and in my walk with Him. This isn’t just songs—it’s testimony put to sound.

I encourage everyone reading to follow my social media pages for updates and to be the first to grab the presave link when it goes live. I can’t wait to share with the world what God has flowed through me. This is only the beginning.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three most important qualities that shaped my journey are resilience, humility, and faith-driven vision.

Resilience was born out of every obstacle I faced that was designed to break me. Instead of staying down, I learned to rise up stronger each time. My advice to anyone starting out is this: don’t despise the challenges. Every trial is training. What feels like pressure is really God building your endurance for the next level.

Humility came when I finally admitted I couldn’t do it all on my own. Pride had me blinded for years, but true breakthrough came when I allowed God to take the lead. For those at the beginning of their journey, don’t mistake independence for strength. Real strength comes from knowing when to surrender and let God guide your steps.

And the third is faith-driven vision. If it was left up to me, I’d move slow, doubt myself, or talk myself out of opportunities. But God’s vision for my life has always been bigger than mine. Learning to see through His lens and trust His timing has elevated me beyond what I could imagine. My advice here: write down the vision God gives you, keep it in front of you, and chase it with obedience, not fear.

When you combine resilience, humility, and faith-driven vision, you’re unstoppable—not because of your own power, but because you’ve positioned yourself for God to move through you.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been learning to fully trust God’s timing and step boldly into the opportunities He places in front of me. I remember on my birthday, August 17, I clearly heard the Holy Spirit say, ‘Today is going to be the first day of the rest of your life.’ At the time, I didn’t fully understand everything that meant, but I knew one thing: if God was saying it, I had to allow Him to have His way.

Only a few months after that day, so much has already begun to move—doors are opening, the right opportunities are coming, and I’m connecting with the right people. These are people who share the same focus, who genuinely care about God’s Kingdom, and who are willing to go to war spiritually through prayer and fasting. Walking in alignment with them is a blessing, because we fight together for the Kingdom, and that in itself is a true honor.

This growth has also shown up in my ministry, music, and business ventures, like R.I.O.T.gear and my upcoming E.P., Nonfiction. I’ve realized that as I walk more fully in my anointing, blessings grow bigger—but so do the attacks. That’s why it’s essential to be surrounded by people who are spiritually grounded and Kingdom-minded.

This year has taught me that growth isn’t just about skill or talent—it’s about surrender, alignment, and being willing to move when God says move, no matter how big the leap may seem. Trusting Him has already transformed my life in ways I couldn’t have orchestrated on my own.
