Meet FLEX J

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to FLEX J. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have FLEX with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

Honestly, it comes from my family….. Everybody around me is or was a mover and shaker, so working hard was just the norm.

I was put in situations early where you had to figure it out quick—either you leveled up or you fell behind.

That pressure built me…..I learned how to move through stress and stay locked in. And truthfully, I just like the grind……. I know the work I’m putting in right now is setting me up for what’s next, so I’m staying down and putting the hours in

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

This whole wave is about leveling up…. I’m the hottest underground artist and creative building something big, real big…..I make these records straight from real life situations—I guess you could say I’m a storyteller of sorts.

Right now, I’m focused on building a brand centered on authenticity, elevated sounds, and a lifestyle that stands on its own wave… I just dropped my latest EP Tomorrow Never Dies Vol. 1, along with singles like Baddies and Porsche 911, all part of the bigger vision.

I even had the chance to blaze the stage with the homie Mark Battles, opening for him on his “I’ll Be Home in a Minute” tour, sponsored by Big Kids Don’t Cry and Quality Control Music… You can feel the energy shifting and the momentum rolling so shout out to Mark Battles for the opportunity

I’m gearing up for a massive 2026—pushing the sound forward with strong creative direction and visuals that match the energy. This is about culture, ownership, and standing apart—expanding the Wildwxst brand into a label, production company, the golf world, and beyond, with goals in acting and more… we just getting started man.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three things made the biggest difference in my journey.

First, self-belief and confidence. There are going to be a lot of people who doubt you or don’t see your vision. You can’t rely on them or listen to what they are saying because they’re just projecting their fears on you—you have to trust yourself first. Early on, focus on building small wins and letting them reinforce that confidence…. Gotta stack the small wins

Second, patience and networking. I know you think this path is sweet and that you’re going to be an overnight celebrity like Ye and Twista said back in the day lol….You have to understand that nothing happens overnight. Building real relationships and being consistent over time opens doors you didn’t even know existed. My advice: show up, stay genuine, and keep connecting—your network is your net worth.

Third, vision and seeing it through. You gotta see it….knowing what you want and keeping your eyes on the endgame separates the people who talk from the people who actually move. My advice: define your vision clearly, break it down into steps, and don’t stop until you reach it.

If you focus on these three—patience, confidence, and vision—you’ll be laying a foundation that can carry you through anything.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

Man, I can’t even lie… when the homie Mark Battles hit me up to open for him on tour, I wanted to give the best experience possible—not just for my fans, but to win over some new ones too.

So I hit up one of my favorite performers, Deven “Mickey Young” Bridges, for some advice. He put me on this book called Live Music Method: All Roads Lead to the Stage by Tom Jackson. I went straight to Amazon and $100 dollars later, grabbed it, and let’s just say it helped set the stage—no pun intended—for the next rollout of my live shows.

That book gave me so many nuggets on performance, preparation, and connecting with the crowd. I’m super excited for what’s coming with these live shows.
