Hi Flores & Flowers, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

Two Brazilian friends, brought to the US for the same reason—their husband’s work—joined to pursue a new purpose, as their careers were interrupted when they left their home country.
Luciana brought her expertise and passion for floral arrangements, table setting, and interior design, and Erica brought 12 years of experience coordinating events such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate events. With their unique qualities and combined passions of having full houses, hosting friends, and celebrating special occasions; Brazilian and American holidays alike—Flores and Flowers was created.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Flores & Flowers mission statement is to create uniquely curated experiences designed to cater your specific needs; wether you it is a special gift or an amazing event, we strive to meet and exceed your expectations.The customers will be greeted by our worry-free planning and expertise in event decorating to guarantee a welcoming and well-planned environment for your guests. Our next goal in our business is to be readily available through our upcoming online store; offering unique and classy gifts ready to be shared.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The main qualities that impacted the beginning of this partnership and the opening of Flores & Flowers were: speaking the same language and coming from the same culture that values ​​social gatherings, our aptitude for crafts and creative arts, and the fact that we share similar tastes which allows a strong foundation to branch our business from.

One piece of advice we would share for people who want to start a business is that beyond your own dreams, there are people who can bring new ideas and skills to the table, which helps create a successful and flushed out business concept.
