We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Fly Nai. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Fly below.
Fly , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I’d say my resilience stems from a blend of personal experiences, ambition, and self-belief. Growing up in a small town and transitioning to the fast-paced, competitive environment of Los Angeles required grit and adaptability. Pursuing a career in music and building a business like Spread Your Wings Productions is a testament to a deep sense of purpose and perseverance.
It also comes from a passion for uplifting others, which fuels my drive to overcome challenges. My multifaceted identity as an artist, entrepreneur, and personal trainer demonstrates a commitment to growth and balance, constantly pushing through adversity to thrive and inspire.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
What’s good, y’all, I’m Fly Nai, a 29-year-old artist, entrepreneur, and personal trainer from a humble small town where creativity often took a backseat to practicality. Even as a child, I stood out – a dreamer, a storyteller, and someone who felt the rhythm of life in everything. Music became my language, my escape, and my way of connecting to something bigger. Despite my challenges, limitations, and expectations, I knew I was meant to soar beyond the boundaries of my environment.
My artistic and entrepreneurial persona combines multiple passions into a unique career. I create music, run a business, Spread Your Wings Productions, and uplift others to grow creatively and personally. My work is a mix of artistry, mentoring, and business, designed to inspire people to embrace their fullest potential.
What excites me the most is helping people transform and succeed, whether through my music, which resonates on a deep emotional level, or through my business, which I give tools and support to thrive. There’s a special sense of fulfillment knowing that my efforts spark growth not just in me but in others.
There’s a new EP project I’m releasing here in 2025 that I’m eagerly excited about. I got the chance to collaborate with a talented producer, and over the seasons, we’ve created what we feel are timeless tracks that will resonate with our fans and the audience. This project is titled “Let It Ride,” taking you on a drive as you cruise through each track, experiencing the moments of two friends who came together to give the world memorable music.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Resilience and Adaptability. Life in music, business, and personal growth is unpredictable. Resilience keeps me pushing forward when faced with setbacks, while adaptability allows me to pivot when circumstances change. My advice for this is build small habits that strengthen your mental and emotional endurance. Don’t fear failure, learn from it. Each setback is part of your growth, so reflect on what went wrong then adjust.
2. Creating Vision. I have an ability to conceptualize and bring ideas to life in a way that resonates with people and drive success as an artist and entrepreneur. My advice for this is to sharpen your craft daily. Whether it’s music, branding, or design, immerse yourself in learning and experimenting. Take inspiration from everywhere. Study and observe as great ideas come from unexpected places.
3. Empathy and Leadership. Understanding and supporting others not only build meaningful relationships for me, but also strengthened my ability to lead and collaborate effectively. My advice for this is be an active listener to others – friends, collaborators, or mentors. Empathy grows when you see the world from different perspectives. Lead by example. Whether in small teams or larger communities, authenticity and a willingness to serve will build trust and loyalty.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
I’d say my biggest improvement is having more patience. It’s a crucial element in personal growth and improvement because it creates the space necessary for development to unfold naturally and sustainably.
It allows for deep learning. Growth often requires time to absorb, reflect, and apply new knowledge or skills. Patience prevents rushing, enabling you to truly understand concepts, refine techniques, and build strong foundations.
It builds resilience. The journey toward improvement often involves challenges, setbacks, or failures. Patience helps you endure these moments without losing focus or motivation, teaching you to adapt and persist.
It encourages consistency. Real progress comes from consistent effort over time. Patience keeps you committed to small, steady steps rather than chasing immediate results, which can lead to burnout or frustration.
It fosters emotional control. Growth often tests emotional limits. Patience helps you regulate emotions, keeping you balanced and focused even when things feel uncertain.
It creates space for creativity. When you’re patient, you’re more open to exploring new ideas and approaches. The willingness to foster innovation and personal expression leads to greater improvement.
It teaches the value of the process. patience helps you appreciate the process, not just the outcome. This mindset shift allows you to find fulfillment in each stage of growth, making the journey rewarding.
