Meet Flynn Hendrix

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Flynn Hendrix. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Flynn, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from my father figure/godfather. He and my biological father both shared strong work ethics; however, my father used his work to avoid his family, where my godfather still made time for family, despite working 7 days a week most times. Seeing the sacrifices he made, even while being involved with serving in the Army Reserve, without complaint, while still setting an example for how to be a family man showed me how I wanted to be, whereas my father showed me the opposite.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
For 16 years I’ve been a traveling professional wrestler. In 2019, I began pursuing acting & voiceover on top of this before I picked up podcasting in 2021.

In that time, I’ve performed in 16 states, appeared multiple times on screen for WWE, worked with Yelp!, & Amazon among other notable clients.

Most recently, I became the AIWF World Television Champion. This is a huge honor, as the AIWF is represented worldwide and holding this championship will allow me to travel like the champions from the glory days of the NWA.

I fund my endeavors by selling my merchandise, which you can find here –

I also make monthly donations from these to the Nashville Humane Association & St. Jude.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The biggest things I can recommend, and full transparency, they were a struggle for me to come to terms with and accept are:

1. Realizing you don’t know everything.
2. Learning when to say no.
3. Realizing & protecting your self-worth.

We’re always learning, the day we stop is the day we die. We have to keep an open mind, open eyes & ears & a willingness to learn. We also have to learn who to listen to – not everyone has been where you want to go, nor do they always have your best interests at heart,

You also have to realize that we can’t make everyone happy, nor can we continue to give if we’re trying to give from an empty cup. Sometimes it’s not selfish to say “no” and give yourself time to heal & recharge. Combining these two things goes a long way in protecting your self-worth.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m always looking for new collaborators, or other content creators to interview on my “I Know You Hear Me!” Podcast, or to be interviewed on their shows.

The main things I look for are people with stories to tell; those who get the big picture, and are also trying to grow the brands they’re associated with.
