Meet Frances Ledgewood

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Frances Ledgewood. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Frances, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

I would say my optimism comes directly from my faith. I know the Lord is in control and that He has everything in His hands, which allows me to approach both work and life with confidence and joy. Because of that belief system, I naturally see the glass as half full and look for opportunities, even in challenges. It gives me peace and helps me encourage others to focus on solutions rather than obstacles.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

“I am the owner and creative director of Ledgewood Fine Stationery, where I design heirloom wedding invitations and paper goods for couples across the country. My heart is in creating meaningful keepsakes that not only invite guests to a wedding but also tell a couple’s story with beauty and intention. Each suite we create is designed to be treasured long after the wedding day, a tangible reminder of love, commitment, and celebration.

What excites me most is the combination of artistry and hospitality. I love guiding couples through the process with care, while also elevating the design to feel timeless and luxurious. Paper is such a powerful medium—it sets the tone for one of life’s most cherished celebrations.

This year we celebrated Ledgewood’s 10th anniversary with a new brand and website launch, and we also hosted The Ledgewood Fine Stationery Collective, an in-person retreat for wedding stationers. It was a beautiful space for education, inspiration, and community, and we will be hosting it again next September. I couldn’t be more grateful for how the Lord has grown this little dream of mine into something that serves both brides and fellow creatives.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three things have made the biggest impact in my journey. First, investing in a business coach gave me clarity and accountability, helping me step more fully into my role as a CEO rather than trying to do everything myself. Second, taking mastermind courses within my specific field of stationery was invaluable. Learning from others who had walked the same road gave me practical tools, inspiration, and confidence. Third, surrounding myself with other creatives in the wedding industry has been life-giving. Being in community with people who truly understand the ins and outs of this work brings encouragement, fresh ideas, and a reminder that we’re not meant to do it alone.

For those just starting out, my advice would be to seek guidance early, whether through a coach or mentor, and be willing to invest in your education. Stay curious, never stop learning, and don’t be afraid to connect with peers in your industry. Relationships and community will take you further than you ever imagined.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is someone who values the meaning behind their wedding day and wants their invitations to reflect that significance. They care about quality, artistry, and tradition, and they see their stationery not just as paper but as an heirloom piece of their love story. An ideal client is detail-oriented, gracious, and trusts the creative process, allowing me to guide them with both hospitality and expertise.

Most of all, my ideal clients are those who want to create a cohesive, timeless experience for their guests—from the very first impression of the invitation to the last detail on the wedding day. They appreciate classic elegance, thoughtful storytelling, and the beauty of keeping traditions alive.
