Meet Francesca Fondevila Lucero

We recently connected with Francesca Fondevila Lucero and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Francesca, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

After struggling through my own postpartum experience—trying to do it all on my own and ignoring the need to slow down and nurture myself—I realized something profound. The qualities I had always prided myself on—my independence and strength—were, in fact, the very obstacles to this sacred transition into Motherhood. They led me to feel disempowered and alone. What I truly needed was to surrender and embrace something I rarely, if ever, did: to allow myself to ask for help and be guided.

The challenges I faced during my postpartum, combined with my love for beauty, my passion for elevating experiences, and my desire to nourish, inspire, and empower others, led me to curate special, sacred experiences that honor the journey of Motherhood. This inspiration ultimately sparked the creation of Mother Bones, my postpartum care business.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

As a postpartum doula, I offer something uniquely personal. My care is not just about providing support; it’s about creating an experience that is deeply rooted in beauty, nourishment, and ceremony. The service I provide reflects who I am and the journey I’ve taken. Every meal, every ritual, every touch is crafted with intention. Whether it’s a warm broth simmered for hours or bodywork using my own fragrant oil blend that invigorates the senses and calms the mind, my offerings are restorative and designed to empower the Mother, regulate her nervous system, and honor her intuition.

Through this work, I have found that my purpose is not only to support but to enhance the postpartum experience. I have created a practice that weaves together ancient wisdom with a modern, elevated approach. From sourcing the finest organic ingredients to curating personalized self-care rituals, my attention to detail ensures that every Mother feels truly seen and cared for. This is not just postpartum care—it is a bespoke experience unlike anything else available, designed for Mothers who want to feel both deeply nurtured and beautifully celebrated during this sacred time of transition.

What sets my care apart is not only the curated nature of the service but also the genuine connection and presence I bring. I am not simply filling a role; I bring my heart and soul into each interaction, ensuring that every Mother feels valued, empowered, and supported in a way that is special and meaningful to her. In this work, I have found my purpose, and it’s reflected in every detail of the care I offer. I am really proud of Mother Bones and the beautiful experience I provide.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities/areas of knowledge that have been most impactful in my journey are learning to ask for and accept help, nourishment and ritual, and honoring the wisdom in stillness.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that we can’t do it all on our own. When I surrendered and allowed myself to be guided, everything changed. For any new Mother early in her journey, my advice is to let go of the notion that asking for help is a weakness. It is an act of strength. The more you open up to receiving, the more you will find balance, community, and grace.

Understanding the power of nourishment, not just in food but in ceremony, beauty, and self-care, has shaped my entire approach. This knowledge became the foundation of my practice. When Mothers are listened to, cared for, and nourished—both in body and soul—they find within themselves a wellspring of giving. This pours not just into their own families but into the world. And what’s more, they will pass these practices down, becoming living examples for their children. This is how Mothers can help shape the future—fostering a generation that is grounded, present, self-assured, and at peace.

In a world that often rushes us through life’s most significant moments, there is a primal pull for the rhythms and traditions of our ancestors. We must honor the wisdom in the quiet, the healing in the pause, and the growth in stillness. My advice for others is to lean into these moments, embrace vulnerability, and find strength in the struggle.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is a Mother who is curious about this transition into Motherhood. She values nourishment on all levels—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and is drawn to the beauty and detail I provide. She’s open to receiving support and guidance, recognizing that she doesn’t have to do it all alone.

She appreciates a high level of personalized, thoughtful care and is looking for a postpartum experience that goes beyond the practical. She desires to be nurtured in a way that feels special, beautiful, and elevated, but also deeply meaningful. She’s drawn to the idea that this experience will not only impact her, but will also create a lasting foundation for her family.
