Francisco , so glad you were able to set aside some time for us today. We’ve always admired not just your journey and success, but also the seemingly high levels of self-discipline that you seem to have mastered and so maybe we can start by chatting about how you developed it or where it comes from?
My self-discipline largely stems from the values instilled in me by my parents and grandparents. Growing up, our household reverberated with tales of their business endeavors and perseverance, where discipline was not just a virtue but the backbone of their success.

Their commitment wasn’t limited to the professional sphere alone; they were equally passionate about fitness, a trait they considered paramount for mental and physical well-being. I

‘ve come to believe that talent can only take one so far; it’s discipline and dedication that truly define success. This blend of business acumen and a health-driven lifestyle, combined with an unwavering belief in the power of dedication, serves as my compass, shaping my approach to challenges and opportunities alike.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Born in the vibrant landscapes of Colombia, my entrepreneurial spirit was evident early on. At the tender age of 6, I embarked on my first venture, selling juices in my local community. However, it was at 11 that I stumbled upon what would become one of my most profound passions – acting. This newfound love led me to work as a child actor from the age of 12. Upon completing high school, my ambition took me to Los Angeles, where I immersed myself in the world of filmmaking. While there, not only did I create films, but I also established a digital marketing agency that aided in launching brands across California. Yet, as life unfolded, I transitioned from the glitz of LA to the dynamic energy of Miami. Here, I sold my agency and founded Asvinx, a hedge fund that aspires to foster a more equitable and resilient world. Our approach is meticulously crafted, centering on trading market investments that promise attractive returns, balanced with a moderate risk profile for our investors.

Presently, my multi-faceted journey continues to evolve. I’m in the process of developing an online platform dedicated to educating individuals about day trading, simultaneously penning down ideas and pre-producing my upcoming film project. My days are a blend of trading, filmmaking, indulging in yoga, seeking solace in prayer, and the exhilaration of a good run. Each facet of my life speaks to my roots, my passions, and the determination to constantly evolve, innovate, and inspire.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, three pivotal qualities stand out:

Resilience: The journey from acting in Colombia to managing a hedge fund in Miami was dotted with challenges. But every setback was an invitation to bounce back with greater vigor. To those early in their journey, understand that failures and roadblocks are inevitable. Embrace them as learning experiences and trust in your ability to rise again.

Adaptability: My diverse experiences, from acting to digital marketing to finance, taught me the value of being adaptable. The world is in constant flux, and the ability to pivot and embrace change is invaluable. For newcomers, I’d advise cultivating a flexible mindset. Learn to view change not as a threat, but as an opportunity.

Continuous Learning: Whether it was understanding the nuances of filmmaking in LA or the intricacies of the trading market, a thirst for knowledge has been my constant companion. For those starting out, never let the fire of curiosity dim. Invest time in courses, read voraciously, and seek mentors. Knowledge, when applied, can be your most potent tool.

To those embarking on their journeys, remember: it’s not just about the destination but the lessons, growth, and experiences along the way. Arm yourself with resilience, embrace change, and never stop learning. The path ahead is as fulfilling as you make it.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I turn to three core practices that ground me: yoga, praying, and meditation.

Yoga serves as a physical outlet, allowing me to channel any pent-up stress or emotions through movement. It not only strengthens the body but harmoniously aligns my mind and spirit. The postures and breathwork anchor me back to the present moment, breaking the cycle of overthinking or anxiety.

Praying is my spiritual refuge. It connects me to a higher power and reminds me that I’m not alone in my journey. Through prayer, I find solace, guidance, and a renewed sense of purpose. It’s a reminder that even in moments of chaos, there’s a grander scheme at work, and things will eventually fall into place.

Lastly, meditation is my mental sanctuary. It’s a practice that allows me to quiet the noise, tune into my inner self, and gain clarity. By focusing on my breath and detaching from external pressures, I can find inner peace and a clearer perspective on situations.

They don’t require grand gestures; even a few minutes of dedicated time can create a significant shift in your mindset.
