We were lucky to catch up with Frank A. Ramos recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Frank A., so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
I learned early on to see being the only one in the room not as a setback, but as an advantage. It gave me a unique perspective and pushed me to stand out through my work ethic, storytelling, and the value I bring. Instead of blending in, I leaned into what made me different and that’s been the key to my success.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My story really started in the car business. I was selling cars, learning how to connect with people, and I realized the real skill wasn’t just sales, it was storytelling. Over time, that led me to pick up a camera, and what started as filming videos turned into building Mediji Media, my own digital marketing agency.
What I do now is simple: I help businesses show up, stand out, and make money by telling their story the right way. That’s through video production, social media, SEO, and AI-powered strategies. What excites me most is taking someone who feels invisible online and making them known. where people are talking about them, booking them, and buying from them.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding Mediji Media into a full-service agency that not only produces content but also helps with distribution, websites, and long-term growth strategies. I’m also building my personal brand to share what I’ve learned with other entrepreneurs, showing them how to get customers and build visibility the right way.
What’s new for me? I’m leaning into workshops and community, teaching business owners how to use their phone and simple tools to create content that gets them leads. I want people to know: I’m not just running a business, I’m on a mission to help others succeed and be seen.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three things that really shaped my journey were relationship building, sales skills, and genuinely helping people.
Relationships opened every door for me. I learned that people don’t just buy what you do, they buy trust and connection. Sales skills taught me how to communicate value, how to listen, and how to actually close deals. And genuine help? That’s been the foundation. When you show up to serve first, opportunities follow.
My advice for anyone just starting out: focus on people, not just transactions. Learn how to sell because it’s really just learning how to communicate. And always lead with value — if you help enough people get what they want, you’ll get what you want too.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
The first person who’s been the most helpful is my wife. She’s been my support system, the one reminding me why I’m doing this and keeping me grounded when things get tough. The second is me. My own hunger to learn, grow, and improve every day. I’ve always believed no one is going to hand you success. You’ve got to stay curious, stay hungry, and push yourself both personally and in business.
