Meet Frank Causarano

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Frank Causarano. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Frank below.

Hi Frank, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My family owned and operated small businesses. I was raised in an environment where hard work paid off. Our family success was predicated on the value that was brought into a marketplace.

My mindset from a young age has always been the same. Success comes when you bring value to other people with a product or service.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’ve been self-employed from the beginning and have made a lifetime commitment to learning and longevity. My wife and life partner are in the emotion business.
We sell a feeling to our customers with products and services.
The garden center and brand, Anna’s Garden, Home and Wellness sells on-trend plants and flowers to hobbyists and gardeners across the country. Our gift and decor lines inspire and curate a holistic and trendy lifestyle approach for all walks of life.
Marlene and I are also in the short-term rental business. We offer waterfront housing, boat and jet ski rentals to vacationers of all ages.
Belle Point Shores cottages and Tierra Verde Watersports are an emotional experience for our clients. We aim to stimulate a feeling and complete a vision for vacationers and users.
Our Entreprenurial journey has had many stops along the way. From fish to preserved flowers and champagne.
Teamwork and unique abilities are essential to any successful business. We’re blessed to have some great people standing beside us.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Over time I learned to embrace my strengths and build our teams around these characteristics. Every entrepreneur has weaknesses and areas that don’t interest them. These characteristics are opportunities for someone else to excel. This is our approach to team building. Putting everyone in a position that best suites the business with the right people in the right seats.

We have had some failures along the way. Which is completely natural and acceptable. What I have learned is to fail fast. If an idea or vision isn’t working. Move on quickly. Analize what went wrong and become stronger.

The entrepreneurial time system is different from the paycheck time system.
There’s nothing wrong with the paycheck time system. If you’re getting into business for yourself though, you need to be prepared to put hours in. We approach time differently and embrace our working hours and savor our free hours.
Free Days are vital to any successful businessperson. Plan those days in advance and recharge for your working days.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
Traction by Gino Wickman is a book every business owner should read and then read again. There’s a fictional version of the book called Get a Grip that others may relate to.
I preferred Traction. ( I never really enjoyed reading fiction)

This is your blueprint on how to operate any business. No matter of the model.
Gino’s book created a micro-industry within the coaching realm. Called EOS or Entrepreneurial Operating System.

Where do you get your work ethic from?

We’ve all heard the phrase “work hard, play hard,” but where does our work ethic
