We recently connected with Frank Diaz and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Frank, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I’d say my work ethic stems from a blend of my upbringing and the experiences that shaped me along the way. Growing up, I watched my parents hustle day in and day out to create a better life for our family. They instilled in me the value of hard work and perseverance, teaching me that success doesn’t come overnight; it’s earned through dedication and resilience.
Additionally, my early career experiences in various roles showed me the importance of passion and commitment. I learned that when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work at all. That love fuels my drive to push boundaries and innovate. I believe in setting high standards for myself.
I also think it’s essential to stay adaptable. The business landscape is constantly changing, and being willing to learn and adjust is crucial. To me, working hard isn’t just about putting in the hours; it’s about being focused, staying proactive, and believing in the vision we’re building at Aeon Teä.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My journey is deeply intertwined with my cultural roots and personal experiences. Born and raised in Los Angeles to Mexican parents, I grew up surrounded by the warmth of tradition, where tea and herbal concoctions were more than just beverages; they were part of our family’s medicinal practices and cherished moments shared with loved ones.
This love for tea translated into my professional life, especially as I worked in the beauty industry now for 21 years, working with one of the world’s largest French beauty companies. Here I gained invaluable insights into self-care and wellness. This background has significantly influenced Aeon Teä, leading me to create tea blends that focus not only on delightful flavors but also on body wellness and organic ingredients that your body will love. I believe that tea can be a powerful tool for nurturing our well-being, just as it has been in my life.
At Aeon Teä, we are on a mission to craft high quality teas that promote wellness, inspire connections, and good health.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back on my journey, three qualities that have greatly impacted my life and career are cultural awareness, adaptability, and relationship-building. Cultural awareness has allowed me to appreciate and honor the diverse perspectives that shape our interactions. Growing up in a bilingual, bicultural household, I learned the importance of recognizing and respecting different traditions and practices. Adaptability has been crucial in navigating the constantly evolving beauty industry, enabling me to embrace change and stay relevant. Lastly, relationship-building has been essential; fostering genuine connections has opened doors and created opportunities through collaboration and mutual support.
For those starting their own journeys, I suggest actively seeking to understand cultural differences and educate yourself about them. Building relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds can provide insights and broaden your perspective. These experiences not only enhance your personal growth but also contribute to your professional success. Embrace the journey of learning and connecting; it’s a key aspect of building a meaningful and impactful career.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
One book that has significantly influenced me is Simon Sinek’s “Start with Why.” As someone who loves to read, I found this book to be a powerful exploration of purpose and inspiration. Sinek’s concept of the “Golden Circle,” which emphasizes starting with the “why” behind our actions, resonated deeply with me. He argues that understanding our purpose leads to greater success and fulfillment, both personally and professionally.
