Meet FRANKIE BELL

We recently connected with FRANKIE BELL and have shared our conversation below.

Hi FRANKIE, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from deep within. I was born knowing how to be resilient and persevere through difficulties. However, as I grew, I learned through experiences that giving up is not an option. Every challenge I have faced has hardened my resolve and strengthened my determination. With each obstacle I overcome, I gain more confidence in succeeding against the odds. I did not choose the challenges put before me, but I chose how to respond. I could have become bitter or defeated, but instead I embraced the opportunities for growth within the struggles. The winds of adversity fanned the fire inside me, and with each storm I weathered, my purpose became more evident. I am a fighter not because I go looking for conflicts but because I refuse to be knocked down and stay down. My resilience springs from knowing, deep in my soul, that I have the power to rise and win, no matter the challenge.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Perseverance – The ability to persist through challenges and obstacles. Perseverance allows you to keep going even when things get tough and setbacks occur.

2. Resilience – The capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. Resilient people can “bounce back” from failures and disappointments and regain their optimism and motivation.

3. Grit – The tendency to sustain interest in and effort towards long-term goals. Grit involves working strenuously towards challenges, maintaining effort and interest over years despite failure, adversity, and plateaus in progress.

These qualities require persistence, resilience and sustained effort over time. Focusing on developing them through practice and experience can help equip you to never give up on your goals and dreams.

Here is some advice I can give people who want to improve on grit, resilience and perseverance:

1. Start small and build up. Set easy goals at first that you know you can achieve. Celebrate every win, no matter how small. This builds momentum and confidence for tackling bigger challenges.

2. Develop effective coping strategies. Learn how to manage stress, frustrations and setbacks in a healthy way. Seek social support from friends and family. Take breaks when needed.

3. Stay motivated through visualization. Imagine yourself achieving your goals. Visualize overcoming obstacles and challenges. This can keep you motivated to keep going.

4. Focus on progress, not perfection. Remind yourself that setbacks and failures are normal and part of the process. Focus on continual improvement, not achieving perfection immediately.

5. Reflect on your purpose and values. Remind yourself why you started and what motivates you. Connect your goals to what really matters to you. This can help sustain your motivation over the long run.

6. Practice mindfulness. Stay in the present moment through meditation, deep breathing or other mindfulness techniques. This can help reduce negative self-talk and rumination that saps grit, resilience and perseverance.

In summary, start small, develop effective coping strategies, visualize success, focus on progress not perfection, connect to your purpose and values, and practice mindfulness. With consistent effort over time, these skills can be developed and improved to help you never give up.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
My faith in God has been my solid foundation when needing to overcome challenges, as well as, my family. They have supported, trusted and cheered me through my journey.l
