Meet Freudeline St Jean

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Freudeline St Jean a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Freudeline, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose through my faith and my journey of surrendering to God’s will. As a single mother of three, navigating divorce, and battling breast cancer, I went through seasons that tested my strength and faith. But it was in those moments of brokenness that God revealed His greater plan for my life. My struggles became my testimony, and my pain turned into purpose. Through it all, I realized that my calling is to uplift, empower, and serve others—whether through ministry, mentorship, or community work. Every challenge I faced was a stepping stone toward discovering that my true purpose is to be a vessel of hope, grace, and restoration for those who need it most.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I Am the Executive Director of Women of Many Hats, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving communities both locally and internationally. We build wells in Ghana and Liberia, sponsor a school in Haiti, and provide food, clothing, and resources to the homeless and low-income families in our community.

We also run a seniors’ food distribution program and host an annual domestic violence awareness luncheon to support and advocate for survivors.

In addition, I’m launching a 6-week mentorship program focused on helping individuals navigate and thrive during their waiting seasons, providing practical tools and spiritual guidance.

Beyond my nonprofit work, I am a pastor, a mentor, a mother of three, and a grandmother. My journey—through divorce, single motherhood, and battling breast cancer—has shaped my purpose and deepened my passion for empowering others.

I’ve also written Amazon bestseller workbook “The Blueprint of Prayer Workbook, a guide to strengthening one’s prayer life and deepening faith. Through mentorship, faith-based initiatives, and community service, I strive to uplift and restore hope to those facing life’s hardships. My life’s work is about being the hands and feet of Jesus, ensuring that those in need receive not just help, but also love, dignity, and encouragement.”*

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I would say the three most impactful qualities in my journey were resilience, faith, and a servant’s heart.

Resilience: Life has thrown many challenges my way, It taught me the importance of bouncing back and staying focused on the bigger picture, knowing that every challenge can lead

Faith: My relationship with God has been the anchor through every storm.

A Servant’s Heart: The desire to help and uplift others has been a constant throughout my journey. Whether through my work with Women of Many Hats, mentoring, or simply being there for someone in need, serving others has been a guiding principle. This mindset has opened doors for me to make a difference in the lives of those around me and truly fulfill my calling.”*

For those early in their journey, my advice would be to start by intentionally cultivating these three qualities in small, everyday ways:
When things get tough, don’t give up or lose heart. Instead, see each difficulty as an opportunity to learn, grow, and strengthen your character. Surround yourself with people who inspire you and encourage you to keep going. Remember, it’s not about avoiding struggles but learning to rise from them. That my friend is Building Resilience.

Next, Developing a Servant’s Heart & Leadership. Serving others begins with a mindset of humility and compassion. Start by looking for small opportunities to help those around you, whether it’s a friend, a neighbor, or someone in your community.

And the most important one of them all is to Strengthening Your Faith!!!
Spend time in prayer, reflection, and seeking God’s guidance in all areas of your life. Build a strong spiritual foundation by developing a personal relationship with God and trusting in His timing and plan for your life. Faith grows as you walk with God through both the highs and lows, so be patient with yourself and allow your faith to deepen with each step you take.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1Peter 4:10

Purpose in Every Step, Service in Every Heart.”

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Whether it’s financial support, volunteer efforts, specialized skills, or logistical help, we welcome partners who bring resources that can directly support our various initiatives, from building wells to providing meals and mentorship.”

We are looking for individuals, organizations, and businesses who share our heart for service and community transformation. Specifically, we seek partners who are passionate about empowering vulnerable populations, including women, children, the homeless, and individuals impacted by domestic violence or mental illness.
