Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to FURKAN TAN. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
FURKAN, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I find my purpose in a very young age by being at construction sites and following my mom’s footsteps. She was an architect/ designer, and she would design all of our houses from inside out. As I kid, I had lots of interest in design and learned many different skills set by watching the process of projects. I designed my own room when I was 14 years old and had many joys out of it. I always knew that I wanted to be in a creative industry.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Pietra Casa was founded in 2021 by Furkan Tan. Pietra Casa is exclusively curated objects and luxury accessories for your home and unique designs from all around the world | Decor | Furniture | Fixtures. We represent over 100 brands mainly from Europe some of the brands we represent are Aston Martin Home, CEA Design, Misura Emme and many more incredible brands. Additionally, we offer architectural and interior design services where we can provide all type of design, selections and etc.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Knowing what you want to accomplish in life, being furious and determination. I would advise to everyone to believe in themselves and not giving up just because one thing didn’t work out. I always remind myself that one door closes and the other one opens.
Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
The last 12 months have been interesting for me because I have been remodeling my personal house, and it has been a big responsibility financially and mentally. It’s important to believe what you do, even though there are many challenges to achieve the impossible.
