Meet Gabe Lustman

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gabe Lustman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gabe below.

Gabe, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

When I first started making music in May 2006, I used to do it for me and although it doesn’t make me feel alive it gives me a sense of purpose and makes me feel complete and happy beyond words after 19 years of doing music, professionally as a singer, songwriter, recording artist I realized that the gift I’ve been given is meant for the world and others just as much as it was meant for me it’s a blessing to bring happiness to people to be a vibe curator, and an inspiration to people around me and people I’ve never met that’s the true purpose

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a Singer Songwriter and recording artist I really get the greatest joy out of doing what I’m doing when I’m in the studio creating new songs and sounds and also when performing for a crowd and seeing the happiness, it brings people it’s really amazing

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I think the three most important quality skills or areas of knowledge that were most impactful on my journey are: first, being a problem solver, second, being able to write my own songs and third, my networking abilities.

I think keeping an optimistic mindset reading books staying close to God keeping the right people around you will help with problem-solving. Writing your own songs is crucial in today’s entertainment business because not only do Songwriter’s get paid the most who will tell your story better than you think about it?… and also you have to work like crazy go to those events that you think don’t matter because they do ask and give out Instagram’s make flyers drop them off at local barbershops liquor stores flyer. The Citi do the legwork so the proper people can find you and increase visibility in your city

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

I think the main thing I’ve had to overcome in recent years is consistency and creating content because this industry requires nonstop, grind and legwork and now has evolved into a content game you see a lot of artists with zero talent and a crazy buzz or a viral moment online getting deals before the actual talented ones so that goes to show you it’s a NUMBER’s game a content game you need to create visuals around any product you drop
