Meet Gabe Tesch

We recently connected with Gabe Tesch and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabe , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from my faith in God. When I was 11 years old, I was diagnosed with brain cancer, and it was an incredibly tough battle. But through that journey, I learned to rely on God for strength. My faith gave me the hope and determination to keep fighting, even when things seemed impossible. Now, at 21 years old and a professional race car driver, I carry that same resilience with me every day. It’s what drives me to pursue my dreams and inspire others facing their own challenges.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

As a professional race car driver, my journey on the track is about more than just speed and competition—it’s about overcoming obstacles and inspiring others to do the same. Racing has been my dream since I was a kid, and after surviving brain cancer I knew that I wanted to use my story to encourage others.

What’s most exciting and special about what I do is the chance to show people that no matter what challenges they face, they can still pursue their dreams. Racing is a platform that allows me to connect with others, especially kids battling cancer, and share that message of hope and resilience.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Life has thrown a lot of challenges my way. from battling brain cancer to overcoming obstacles in my racing career. But I’ve learned that we gain much more when we lose than when we win. Like that old Rocky saying, “It’s not about how hard you hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” Perseverance means sticking with it, even when things are tough. If you’re early in your journey, embrace the struggles. They’re going to teach you more than any victory ever will. When things get tough, remember that every setback is an opportunity to grow stronger. Whatever your beliefs, find something bigger than yourself to hold onto. Let it be your anchor, especially when the storms come. Faith doesn’t just guide your path—it gives you the courage to take the next step, even when you can’t see the whole road. I’ve learned that no matter how hard I work or how much I achieve, I can’t do it alone. My family has made so many sacrifices to help me reach my goals, and that’s taught me to stay humble and grateful. The struggles remind me that I’m not entitled to anything, and that keeps me focused on giving back and helping others. Stay humble and remember that you’re not the only one making sacrifices. Surround yourself with people who believe in you, and never forget to appreciate their support. The more you stay grounded, the more you’ll be able to lift others up as you succeed. If you’re just starting out, focus on building these qualities. Life and your journey won’t always be easy, but if you can persevere, keep your faith, and stay humble, you’ll not only reach your goals you’ll grow into the person you’re meant to be along the way.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, I’m always looking for folks to partner or collaborate with. Racing is a very expensive sport, and I’ve never had the money to do it on my own. I’ve had to rely heavily on my sponsors, and I’m extremely thankful for their support. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to pursue my dreams on the track.

I’m also passionate about giving back, especially when it comes to childhood cancer. I work with a lot of nonprofits that support kids battling cancer, and I’m always looking for ways to expand that impact. Whether it’s through sponsorship, collaboration on projects, or joining forces to make a difference in the lives of others, I’m open to working with anyone who shares that vision.

If you’re interested in partnering or collaborating, feel free to reach out to me. I’d love to connect and see how we can work together to achieve something meaningful. They can find me on instagram gabetesch48c or on my facebook page, Do Something Extraordinary.
