Meet Gabe Tzeo

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gabe Tzeo. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gabe below.

Hi Gabe, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

I model my life after Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I rather lay down my needs to help another person become successful. I know is sounds ridiculous and I believe it’s a different way of leading. That’s were my generosity comes from. Seeing someone achieve their goals and reach a milestone is very fulfilling. What a person learns is only wisdom when it’s given.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

There was a point in my life. I felt like I was formless, faceless, and nameless. The things I saw, the things I’ve felt, the things I heard, the things that were said. Created an identity I was cursed with. Feeling like I was a prisoner. Every word, every look, and every person became my nightmare. That nightmare was not being able to amount to anything. I felt like I had no purpose, no motivation to accomplish my hopes and dreams. At times I would say to myself. Would it be better if I didn’t exist? Since no one cared, and no one deserves that kind of pain. I certainly didn’t deserve it. I didn’t know who I was. I didn’t know my destiny. My identity was compromised.

I found my identity and purpose through helping people see who they are with the gift of photography. Photography saved me from destruction. Through the voice of God. It’s been an amazing journey of teaching and showing people their real self and see themselves in a different lens.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The 3 things I think about everyday is thankfulness, resilience, and hope. Without these 3 things in mind. You could let go of your dreams. There’s so much more in store than what is in front of you or what you perceive. When you’re committed. You’ll do everything possible to achieve your goal.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m in the process of looking for wardrobe stylist to collaborate with.

Someone who has a wide range of styles and eras would be the best fit!
Someone who is willing to work fast and communicates well.

Outside of that, it’s my dream to work with brands that have a great mission to impact the people and inspiring people to change.
