Meet Gabriel Santos

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gabriel Santos. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gabriel below.

Gabriel, so glad you were able to set aside some time for us today. We’ve always admired not just your journey and success, but also the seemingly high levels of self-discipline that you seem to have mastered and so maybe we can start by chatting about how you developed it or where it comes from?

My self-esteem comes from a different lifestyle. My parents were very strict and disciplined with me. Then I went to the Brazilian army where I learned a lot about discipline. I have always used this discipline to my advantage. I use this discipline at the gym every day, whether I am tired or have no energy, I always go and accomplish the mission.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am very focused on doing things right the first time. I worked in the quality area and in this 12-year period I learned a lot about service delivery, customer satisfaction and excellence for the final product. I have projects to expand my business, making partnerships and giving opportunities to new artists.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I believe that my three strengths are: resilience – because I always have the patience and knowledge to keep trying and moving forward; quality in focus – I always do as if it were for me, so I always seek perfection and finally, I am a man of faith – I believe that everything that happens, good or bad, is part of what I call: being a human being. Life has positive energies and negative energies. With my faith, I always focus everything as something positive.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

One of the books that definitely made me apply my positive energies to all events, even if they were negative ones, was the book called “The Mountain is You” and I highly recommend it.
