Meet Gabriella Feracho-Seymour

We were lucky to catch up with Gabriella Feracho-Seymour recently and have shared our conversation below.

Gabriella, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I got my resilience from my dad. I watched him raise three young children under the age of 3, by himself, for nearly a decade. Through the toughest times, he remained faithful, loving, and generous. He never stopped giving; even when we had little, and somehow, God always made a way. Watching him live with strength and grace became my blueprint for resilience.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m Gabby, the founder of Feracho Flare Balloons, a luxury balloon design company based in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I’ve been bringing unforgettable balloon art to life since 2017 (a bit longer), specializing in organic balloon installations for weddings, milestone events, corporate experiences, and everything in between. What sets Feracho Flare apart is the intentionality and heart behind every design. I don’t just decorate a space, I transform it with purpose, flair, and a whole lot of love.

What’s most exciting about what I do is seeing how balloon art brings joy, beauty, and “wow” moments to people of all ages. Whether it’s a grand celebration or an intimate gathering, each install is a chance to turn imagination into reality. I’m especially proud to have been featured in national publications like Munaluchi Bride and Virginia Bride Magazine, as well as to have participated in The Big Balloon Build, a global experience using balloon art to make a difference in local communities.

Something new and exciting is on the horizon; I’ll be launching balloon classes soon! These classes are designed not only to teach the art of organic balloon design but to empower others; especially youth through my Young Inflators Club with the creativity, confidence, and business skills to chase their own dreams.

Feracho Flare isn’t just about balloons, it’s about impact, excellence, and making every moment memorable.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been resilience, creativity, and faith.

Resilience, I saw firsthand what it means to keep going with love and strength even when things are tough. That shaped how I navigate business and life today. I wouldn’t be here today if I quit rather than push through when things got tough.

Creativity is at the heart of everything I do. I’ve always seen balloons as more than decoration; they’re a form of storytelling, celebration, and emotion. I learned to embrace my unique style instead of trying to follow every trend, and that made all the difference.

And faith, faith in God, in the process, and in the calling on my life has kept me grounded and focused. Even when I didn’t have all the answers, I trusted that the right opportunities, clients, and connections would come, and they did.

For anyone just starting out, my advice is this:
Keep showing up. Stay curious. Let your “why” lead your work. Build your skills, be okay with learning as you go, and don’t be afraid to pivot until it feels right. Most importantly, trust that what makes you different is exactly what will make you successful.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Absolutely! I’m always open to partnering with folks who are passionate about creativity, community, and giving back. I’m currently looking to collaborate with local artists, creatives, and community-focused businesses to create a giveback event here in the 757, something inspired by my experience with the Big Balloon Build, where art and service came together to uplift a local community in a powerful way.
