Meet Gabrielle Johnson

We recently connected with Gabrielle Johnson and have shared our conversation below.

Gabrielle , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

The whims of life provide me with an honest grit to push forward. No human is perfect, and the sun will not always shine, but the ability to seek the greater good in life is a choice that I will always make. I was born with a true gift that I want to share and a will to learn even more as a creative in a world where the thoughts of being an artist or believing in something bigger than what is handed to you are often overlooked. But this is the art of love and war; my pain can be turned into beauty. I want to change the dynamic; I want to open the doors for a new lane of believers and vocalists trailing their art all over the world. I come from authentic grit and praying hands; I was born to be grand.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

The unpredictable nature of life instills in me a genuine determination to forge ahead. No one is flawless, and the sun won’t always shine, yet choosing to seek the greater good is a decision I will consistently embrace. I possess a true gift that I yearn to share, along with a desire to learn more as a creative in a world where the notion of being an artist or believing in something greater than what is presented is frequently dismissed. This is the art of love and war; my struggles can be transformed into beauty. I aspire to shift the paradigm, paving the way for a new generation of believers and vocalists to showcase their art across the globe. I come from authentic resilience and a spirit of prayer; I was destined for greatness.
The most challenging task for a eulogist is crafting a tribute for a soul whose presence leaves no tangible mark. How do one’s footprints simply disappear? This haunting question lingers: how will I be remembered in this world? Gifted with the ability to articulate the emotions that shape my journey, I transform my experiences into poetry that encapsulates my essence on this earthly stage. Each word I pen becomes a footprint, a quiet affirmation of my journey, while the imagery I create acts as my guiding light. In this dance of language, I carry my story wherever I go, leaving a melodic imprint on the tapestry of time.
I am a woman of diverse talents, painting my portrait in a way that reveals every layer of my being. In my poses, you can see the narrative behind my images. I began modeling at 15, not for vanity, but for the memories; one day, I will witness that significant campaign materialize.
Writing has always flowed easily for me. I write when I love, when I’m angry, when I grieve, and when I dance—my footsteps leave words imprinted in the lyrics of my favorite songs. I have always been a writer in every sense. My intention is to leave a meaningful legacy that preserves my words for centuries. I may not have always been a top student, but the knowledge I’ve gained will shape the creative spirit, the adult, and the inner child within me, as we all navigate the wonders and whims that life presents.
I have penned poetry for published fashion books in Paris alongside stylist Richard Saenz, inspiring young people to find the courage to express what lies in their hearts. I aim to teach every emotion on the spectrum, as it is our driving force that shapes words reflecting our resilience and struggles. I will etch my words onto every sidewalk, advocating for the importance of mental health and the freedom I seek through my writing. My legacy cannot be erased; I will be the poetry that resonates in the hearts of those who walk with me and those who follow in my footsteps. My poetry is my legacy, and the beauty of words is their timelessness. For every eye that uncovers my truth, my poetry will endure through generations.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

love
vulnerability
truth

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

submission to the timeline
holding on is hard
but giving up is fatal.
