Meet Gaby Covarrubias

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gaby Covarrubias. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gaby below.

Hi Gaby , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

Confidence for me didn’t come easily, especially since I spent much of my childhood and teenage years being bullied. It left a mark, and for the longest time, I let those negative voices drown out my own. Then, in a past relationship, I completely let myself go, and my self-esteem hit rock bottom.

But something clicked when I decided to take my health seriously. It wasn’t just about losing weight, it was about gaining control of my life, and breaking patterns with unhealthy binge eating to cope with life obstacles. The gym became my therapy, and eating right became my way of respecting myself. Every time I showed up, it was a small promise I kept to myself, and with each promise kept, my confidence grew. It wasn’t easy, but I learned that confidence isn’t something givenz it’s something you build, one step at a time, by showing up for yourself, no matter what.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My journey has been one of transformation, resilience, and a deep desire to honor my roots. After the passing of my grandfather, I knew I wanted to honor his legacy. I quit a job that wasn’t fulfilling to me and dove head first into opening my own car dealership something that has tested me in ways I never imagined. There have been countless challenges, but every day, I make tough decisions that push me closer to my vision.

Balancing my health, my business, and my personal life, especially as a single mom, that has been an adventure in itself. Thankfully, I’ve had incredible support along the way. I’ve also been fortunate to work with people who believe in my vision, giving me the opportunities I need to keep my dealership thriving.

At my dealership and brokerage, my mission is to redefine the car buying experience. I believe it should be a process where customers feel comfortable, confident, and proud of their purchase. Everyone works hard for their money, and I want to ensure that both my clients and my team win. It’s not just about making a sale. it’s about making sure everyone walks away satisfied.

I’m focused on creating a transparent, honest experience. That I hope it gets adopted everywhere. No hours of waiting around, no runaround. Just straightforward answers, a smooth process, and a deal that makes sense for everyone. People respect that we all have to make a living, but I believe we can do it in a way that leaves customers feeling valued and respected. My vision is a car buying experience that’s tailored for the buyer where trust is built, and the outcome is positive for all involved.

I’m also working on something exciting that will take this vision to the next level, and I hope to unveil it by the end of the year. I have a strong desire to create something special for my clients and partners. This journey isn’t just for me—it’s for my son, my goddaughter, and my nephew and all the Latina women hoping I inspire one or two girls with a big dream. all while paying homage to my family’s hard work and the people who supported me when I needed it most.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

In sales definitely has to be that you’re selling yourself not the product, to find a solution to a current problem will put you ahead. Consistency, focus determination and to start knowing that it’s not gonna be easy, it’s gonna really hard and there’s gonna be times of debilating self doubt, moments were tough decisions have to be made, moments were you’re gonna want to quit. it’s scary but it’s worth it because you’re working towards your dreams towards your goals and vision: things we hear time and time again from self development coaches and successful entrepreneurs because they can’t give us the answers to our vision. Truth is there is no given path or an answer to how someone got to their vision because ultimately it’s your path it’s your vision no one else knows what that looks like but knowing from the start that it’s going to be tremendously hard I think helps so when the challenges arrive you don’t get knocked down.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am looking to partner up with dealerships and car enthusiasts & crestors . Social media is such a huge part of business now and I think by creating engaging and fun content can not only maintain clients intrigued entertained and informed but skyrocket sales, while car enthusiasts are a huge part of social media, not many dealers have joined in that and that’s what I’m working on. I’m partnering up with dealerships, my goal is to reach huge automotive groups like Jim Faulk, McKenna & fletcher jones and also collaborate with big names in the creative side like chip foose, super car blondie and more. I have work to put in but that is one of my goals.
