We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gaby Fadhel a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Gaby, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I have had the absolute pleasure of creating amazing theatrical works for the past ten years. Sometimes it gets difficult when you are constantly going and your mind needs to continue moving to create new pictures and imaginary worlds for the audiences to enjoy, but keeping up with the latest trends and being involved in watching theatre in the community and on the largest stages helps a lot. Seeing other people’s work onstage helps me to keep my creativity alive. I love to support my colleagues and friends in the industry because it gives me a sense of “I’m not in this alone”. Also, giving my students the opportunity to create alongside me also keeps my creativity alive. I love to see them create and I will say that I learn lots of new things from my students, as they learn from me.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I began performing and training at the age of 6 years old. I trained through elementary school and that led me to the magnet theatre programs at South Miami Middle School and Coral Reef Senior High School. Throughout my time in school, I worked for Telemundo and Univision is some commercials and shows. I helped build back the after school theatre program where I started my theatre training and also built a brand new Musical Theatre program at a local dance studio. In 2021 I decided to join the team at a K-12 school in Silver Palms, Fl. I built the elite Stallion Theatre program at Somerset Academy Silver Palms where the kids took 10-12 hours of theatre a week. Throughout my time at Somerset, we competed at multiple district and national level competitions and took multiple “Best of Shows” and “Top Honors” awards.
Royal Studios Miami was opened in the summer of 2025 with the purpose of giving students opportunities to train, perform and work professionally while still attending school. In August of 2025 we opened SIX: Teen Edition and it exploded our company. Through Royal Studios, our students have had chances to work and train with professionals in the industry, tour shows – like a professional company – and book gigs. Our company has boomed in the last four months of our inauguration and we continue to grow and give students opportunities to grow as professional artists, but most importantly, humans.
I have had such amazing moments in my life but seeing this company grow and seeing students all around South Florida live out their dreams has been the most momentous in my life.
Royal Studios Miami is a non-profit organization that offers students from all levels and background the training and performance opportunities they deserve to continue growing in their craft – whether that be dance, theatre or music. Our company offers classes in voice, acting and musical theatre dance to students aging from four years old to college age. The classes are intense and it allows for young artists to train in a professional atmosphere all while still being a kid. We also offer shows throughout the season where kids can audition and be part of professional level productions and gain exposure in the live theatre industry.
What sets us apart is that we are only one of the few theatre based companies in Miami that offer training at the level we do. From training with coaches that have worked on Broadway to paid opportunities to perform in local productions and events.
I am the so proud of the fun and welcoming environment we have created. Our studio is all about family and supporting one another. All the students get the same opportunities to perform and work. We created a welcoming environment which is sometimes unheard of in this industry.
Royal Studios is about training, performance, and family and we pride ourselves in continuing to showcase the many talents of our students through professional level training and productions.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
People skills is my number 1 skill! Without this, I don’t think I would be doing what I am today. Understanding people and learning how to listen and collaborate made a huge impact in my life. Building relationships with people in the community has lead me to build genuine connections with some of the closest people in my life, as well as business partners that have come through my career.
Commitment to growth in my craft is the next thing that has impacted my journey. Without the work and commitment to my craft, there would be no Royal Studios Miami. I delve into what is the arts and creating new works in my community, and I will put in every ounce of my effort to making it the best the community has seen,
I am also very adaptable. Being in this world, you need to be very adaptable to the constant changes in the entertainment business because it’s constantly changing.
For those who are starting off in their career – love what you do. If you don’t love it, find a new place to go or new career path. It’s very important to enjoy what you are working on and continue to push yourself to do better than before.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am always looking for collaboration in our community! Royal Studios Miami was built to give opportunities to students to work in the professional industry at a young age. We love working with local companies that will continue to help push forward and bring the arts to South Florida. We would love to speak to collaborators and partners and bring more fun to the community, If you’re interested in connecting with us, please reach out to us via email to start working with us!
