Meet Geno Pacino

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Geno Pacino a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Geno, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
My generosity comes from me treating people how I wanted to be treated. I have a huge heart I don’t expect that from others. But as my finances or blessings increase I have always consistently taken that to help others. I have been through some really turbulent times in my life & mostly suffered through that alone. My generosity comes from me wanting to be a beacon of light in a world of darkness.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My artist name is Geno Pacino & I’m from Englewood on the south side of Chicago. I have been putting out projects & features for years most notably my Pacino Season series. I have been interviewed for and been featured on countless radio stations, magazines, online publications and I’m one of the most well rounded artist you will hear . I have tons of music video’s on YouTube “ Tears of Joy” which is dedicated to mental health awareness is my favorite. My most recent singles “ The Remedy ( Self Love Anthem ) and” Gotta Have You “ are a change of pace for me & absolutely fire.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Perseverance without that you have no chance of making it in music. Integrity because without character as a person you are nothing. And a unique voice and I don’t mean that just in terms of your speaking or singing, rap voice. I mean a perspective and vision that is unique to you. My advice to someone early in their career would be the earlier or sooner you start the better this isn’t easy work & takes true dedication.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always looking for other artists to collaborate with. Currently I’m in a larger group called The Circle that includes me Geno Pacino, King Chaz, ChiseUp, Big Mel, Oplus The Prince, Ante Up, Rellik, Queen Ari & we always adding on to the collective. You can hit my social media links they should be provided somewhere or even if you just type Geno Pacino my username on instagram is pain707
