Meet George Simpson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to George Simpson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

George, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Well, I didn’t find it. My purpose found me. Growing up I wanted to be a NFL quarterback. I got hurt and focused on being a lawyer. Then I became a father and I needed to pivot again. I became an IT tech. During all that I battled depression and anxiety. So much so I attempted to end it all. Then during the pandemic my depression got bad. My purpose was put in front of me. To help others the way I needed help. I have always been in the arts. So now I’m in the multimedia bringing joy and awareness.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Hello, I’m a soon to be 44 years old executive. I am a father, podcaster, friend, and from time to time a motivational speaker. Im most excited about being CEO of SMG is that I can teach, mold, and inspire others every single day. We are a multimedia company based in Baltimore with a focus in podcasting. One of the podcast on the network Toxicology Report Podcast has a live show on March 9th. We also have a network event on February 3rd. All tickets available on eventbrite.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Resiliency, hard work, and faith. The ability to bounce back from setbacks and the ability to pivot helped be not be stagnant. Hard work, I’m from a blue collar household. Learned nothing will be handed to you. I will have to earn it. Faith, I’m a Buddhist and that taught me patience and focus. The advice I can give is that it will not be easy but it will be worth it. If you truly believe in what you’re doing keep doing it.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Absolutely! I love collaborating with like minded people. All we ask is that you are authentic in what you do. We pride ourselves on our authenticity. They can email me at [email protected] or dm me @sarcarrogance and my team will get back to you within two days.
