We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Georgie Moon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Georgie below.

Georgie , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
The reason I am so passionate about Ancestral healing is that it has changed my life. I have been through the processes and practices I now share. I needed help and after many counsellors and alternate therapies, this is what was impactful for me. I have a dedicated daily practice that I find endlessly nourishing and comforting. And my deep desire is to share this with those who are drawn to this work so they also may experience the transformative power of working with the ancestors.

I experienced a lot of trauma in my youth and found that I was unable to cope with life in general which led to me having a break down in my twenties. It was a slow and long process to recovery. But I found myself in a unique position. Everything I thought I knew now had to be re-examined. So I asked myself ‘Where does this belief come from?’ Is this my belief or is it borrowed? What do I believe? What feels more life affirming? It was also the start of my spiritual path – I became a seeker both searching for meaningful ways to heal, and a spiritual practice that would nourish and ground me.

I spent 11 years with different counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists as well as alternate therapies. I found some therapists to cause more harm than good, others were lovely and supportive and helped me to develop my emotional intelligence. But in every instance not one of these people got to the bottom of my issues and I never experienced relief.

7 years ago I found a path that lit me up and started to make a significant difference in my life and my over all well being. I began to do Ancestral healing and then ceremonial plant medicine. The ancestral healing was transformative – I connected with my healed and whole ancestors who began to teach me about their traditions and cultural practices. I practice these, and it has and is a source of profound meaning to my life. Plant medicine helped me to understand my trauma and what needed to be done to feel at peace with it. The sense of relief and ease from doing this has been immeasurable.

I have a dedicated practice of connecting with my ancestors. It is the joy, deep love and transformative nature of this work that has led me to offer this to others in the hope that they may experience the healing that I was never able to receive from any other form of healing.

I also draw images that expresses my spiritual beliefs and practices. It helps me to offer the reverence and acknowledgement my ancestors deserve, and to have another way to connect with them. I will attach some image of my drawings that reflect my practice.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Someone who is committed to their personal growth or spiritual path. Who has tried a number of therapies, and has done work on themselves but can’t shift a block, or finds themselves repeating negative patterns. Who wants a holistic therapy which works with the mind, body, spirit connection and has a desire to connect with their ancestors to help bring more balance in their life.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. To have a committed and unwavering regular spiritual practice that keeps me grounded and ensures I have the capacity to be in full presence to what my clients need.

2. To bring a deep level of integrity to my work, by following in the footsteps of my ancestors, by being in loving service

3. To have a a lot of experience and knowledge of how to move safely in the unseen realm and have clear parameters in how I am working with clients. And to be able to have the capacity and knowledge to competently hold the space for clients, as well as the humility to continue my path as a perpetual life long student.
